Fire in the belly low (sitting on much cash and NFL brand, including 2 trips to Super Bowls.
Pass
Get the fire the the belly along with the coach brain, leadership, and recruiting inspirational / transformational leader. And don't look back.
It is not Tomlin

not sure how i feel about Tomlin at the collegiate level yet.
I am in this camp.. Initially I thought that would be awesome.. then it hit me Tomlin hired Matt Canada as his OC this year.. so that has given me pause... If you thought O was an idiot for hiring Canada, Tomlin hired him after O. (full disclosure, there was probably a lot going on behind the scenes with O and MC , but we clicked when MC was gone ) That being said, I would def support Tomlin at LSU

Wonder what middle school PE class would Saban be teaching if it weren't for the NFL and Belichek

The same clip being reposted by different websites doesn’t mean something is gaining traction

Or after the Bama loss in 2018.
2018 was a great year. Finished #6

To me this makes no sense...he's been in the NFL for quite some time why would he be interested in coming coach college and have to deal with recruiting, etc. College coaching is a grind which is one of the reasons why Brady was so eager to leave and jump to NFL

To be clear, the NFL is just as much if not more of a grind than college. NFL coaches basically live in the facility during the season.
It’s just a different kind of grind. Some people like the recruiting aspect, and some don’t.
But overall you’re correct in that Mike Tomlin will have no interest in coming here because why the hell would he leave a job that he would have to really really frick up to ever get fired from and has one of the best front office and owner support in the entire league. It makes no sense and this board should really let it go

Mike Tomlin, next to Belichick, has the highest level of job security in the NFL. The Rooney's love the guy, and will pay whatever it takes to keep Tomlin in Pittsburgh.

Not doing cartwheels over Canada as OC.

I think it would be a sight to see. Mike Tomlin doesn't seem to be very " woke " , & his tolerance to taking off plays would immediately be shown by being in the frickoff's face. I think his coaching style in college would be my way or the highway. LSU better consider this before offering him a job. Some of the prima donna's would be a thing of the past.

I think this Tomlin thing is just clickbait. But LSU needs a coach that will not be afraid to run off the “prima Donna’s”. Whomever gets the job.

Ryan Clark says you are the most racist of all the racists in the history of Whiteness.
But being a racist has a lot to do with differences in cultures...
Clark seems angry and anti white...that's smells like racism
But it not illegal to be a racist...
So its time to lay down that sword

Chad, I'm a conservative white male in his 50s, and am sick of all this left wing agenda (especially race baiting and diversity) that has been creeping into our society since I was born. Yes, he clearly checks correctly in the race box but IMO, Mike Tomlin is CLEARLY the #1 choice for the LSU job if he wants it.
He is top 20 all-time winning % in the history of the NFL. Every team has an ELITE roster in the NFL, there are no ULMs to pad the record. You separate the men from the boys as far as coaching goes in the NFL. Combine that with you know he can relate to these recruits and especially to "dey mommas". He would be a GRAND SLAM hire if we could get him.
