thats what I am thinking. But there have been reports about his cousin or brother what ever he is, coming from ND to be safety coach.

I actually like how they have handled tight ends. They've hired experienced FCS/G5 level tight end coaches as GAs and let them coach the position.

DeCoster last few years and Derek Shay this year.

GAs have a lot more freedom than Analysts and can recruit.

Generally every coaching spot, including coordinators, coaches a position. The OC would normally coach QBs, the PGC would normally coach WR. Filling the TE spot with a GA allowed for a PGC that is not responsible for a position. (As far as I know, neither Brady nor Linehan were assigned a position. Ensminger was the QB coach).

There is no way they are going to decrease the number of defensive assistants and steal them for the offensive side. No major DC would agree to that.

I just don't see how there is room for Calloway and Mangas, while keeping Joseph and Faulk. And I don't see either of them leaving.

Calloway is a better coach than Mangas and should get the better position. His Willam and Mary offense was pretty awful.

The way is see it:

Peetz: OC
Calloway: QB/PGC

Not sure where Mangas fits. Senior Analyst?

Maybe, but I don't see him being replaced by Mangus or Calloway for obvious reasons.

I’d also like to get Decoster back but yeah, can’t have everyone. Honestly I wish we’d just get an OC and let him do all the Xs and Os. Having 3 people do that job is redundant.

Calloway could just stay as an analyst and get a raise

He’s already on the field with a headset

Was just reading a Panthers board and they aren’t happy about this. Apparently Peetz is OC in waiting for if/when Brady leaves. Could come down to if he’d rather coach college or nfl.

Brady was the de facto wide receivers coach whether it was official or not

That's what I was thinking, a situation could occur where you hire Peetz just to have him return to Carolina in a couple weeks.

That's not the point. We are talking about position assignments. I would assume he helped out at multiple positions.

impressive that he’s had 2 different stints with Saban at Bama. He must like his offensive mind

Well, now we can all sleep better.

If he takes our job then I think he’d be officially choosing the college route (at least for the next few years).

the saints names just seemed like desperation to recreate magic...Lombardi please. Peetz looks like he carries some serious upside to go with his risk

the reality for what we're looking for, the young offensive guru, its a small pool. More schools are willing to take chances on them at a younger age then they have in the past as head coaches or they're already making comparable money and on the cusp of getting a P5 head job, so why risk losing that rebooting at another school even if it is a jump up? Not always as simple throwing more money at them

If Peetz is “the guy” you let him bring in who he wants. If Mangas is who he wants, he gets Mangas. Sucks for Callaway but it might play out like that.

That video makes me miss Brady.

Other than that, I like how he's young enough to be active with the guys.

I totally agree! Calloway might be of higher coaching quality to most, but if the OC would rather Mangus as his counterpart that’s who you go with!

He spent the majority of his time on the practice field with the wide receivers. Every video you saw of practice he was working with the wide outs
