Well I mean he kinda does. And until he proves otherwise most people will still think that.

Well since you aren't smart enough to comprehend.
I comprehend what you're saying. It's just stupid. Oregon isn't going to give a guy a look at head coach because he beat two teams that beat them 3 years ago. In What world does that make any sense?

Losing two games while coaching LSU with one loss being to Alabama says otherwise.

5-2 translates into 8.5 wins, that's not turning around a team when the previous coach was 27-11 his last 3 years

Regardless of who we hired as coach, the expectations for LSU football need to remain high.

We are a powerhouse program with massive recruiting advantages and tons of money to spend.

Average 10+ wins a year with championship appearances and wins being a regular occurrence. That should be our expectations if hired Jimbo, Herman, or Orgeron.

I refuse to lower my standards because our AD did.

It is not bullshite, but you are too dense to understand that.

You are mad at Alleva because you think O sucks.

yes on both counts

To make your point you constantly bash CEO, not Alleva.

this is the coaching changes, not the AD changes board. and pointing out the guy's record is awful and challenging idiotic and misleading posts by other posters is not "bashing" the guy. We are bashing his record because it is frankly awful

We will see how quickly the fans lower their expectations.

We were set up this coaching search to find another young coach. Yet we regressed massively.

this program's standards should not be lowered just bc we lowered the standard on our coaching hire.

I think O is a totally different coach/person than he was 10 years ago. I know he is one of the best recruiters in college football. I know he can generate a positive attitude which is the first thing Saban did when he came here. If he can hire the right people and recruit the right players I have no reason to believe he wont be successful.

that's the perception, but was it really more exciting than the Auburn or South Carolina games a year ago?

the thing is though, we just didn't fire Miles for the next coach to be successful

Miles was successful

we fired Miles because we were told LSU was going to be elite again

O was not an elite hire

Can we give the guy a chance? Jesus H. Christ! If he fails I will be the first to throw him under the bus but how in the hell can we continue each and everyday to not even give him a chance? We have no clue, zero how he will end up doing. All those other coaches would have been just as much of a risk.

No you wouldn't. You're latched on to his member so tight you'd be headed under the bus with him.

We define success differently. Success IMO at LSU is a SEC championship every 4 years.

So basically he's had one stellar win at USC and LSU, both of whom were extremely talented teams that underachieved. He got them playing alright but not good enough to do anything in their biggest games of the year.
