Would you have been fired up if we would have hired either as the head coach? Why wasn't either of those coaches close to remotely being on the list or even mentioned as the next head coach here?

I'm happy to answer the question. Yes I would have been fired up if we would have hired one of these guys. They have a history of winning, both of them took programs that were down and their win total got better every single year.

Neither of these coaches were considered because our AD is a complete fricking moron who interviewed two coaches he had no chance of getting and settled on the cheap hire that is entirely dependent on his coordinators.

Taggart 2-10 4-8 8-5 10-2

So what you're saying is this

Is better than this

You are an idiot that lies about numbers to fit your argument. That is not O's SEC record and you know it.

He took a bad Ole Miss team and made it a historically bad Ole Miss team. Just because they sucked, does not mean they didn't suck even worse while he was there.

I'll take Hugh Freeze's word and statistical data as proof over you opinion. Hugh said that Ole Miss fired CEO too early and that the program was about to turn around with CEO's leadership and recruiting.

Houston Nutt took over for CEO and won 9 games his first two seasons. When CEO's players started to leave the program Nutt went 1-7 and 0-8 in the SEC.

They both would have been risky hires (O is also a risky hire).....to see that either of these guys would have "good here" without any mention as to the point that they could just as easily stink up the joint is a disservice to everyone.

The only sure things weren't moving (Saban, Urban, and Harbaugh (maybe)). Literally anyone else (maybe excluding some current NFL head coaches) was a gamble.

I have. I also saw what he did at USC and LSU. Think about that.

O hired Freeze, so of course he is going to talk him up

so what you are saying is that Nutt was able to win with O's players, but O couldn't

gotcha

At least they conducted an actual fricking coaching search.

I have.

His actual HC experience is far more relevant than his interim HC experience.

You mean his opinion? There's not a single statistic or data included in what you just said.

In the past 30 years, how many times has Ole Miss had 3 conference wins over a 3 year period?

People don't want to hear facts! Ask anyone that is in the know with Coach O at Ole Miss and they will say the same thing, fact. But all the majority wants to do is bitch and fricking complain. Attack Alleva if you want but in no shape or form can you use what he did 10 freaking years ago at Ole Miss. Why not look what he did at SC and the sinking ship that Miles had us on after that Wisconsin cluster frick.

Any average football fan could see the difference was night and day in the way that the football team responded to Coach O. Night and day!

recruiting has never been the issue for Orgeron, so I don't think anyone has ever argued that.

Nobody is denying O ability to motivate

People question his ability to run a program for multiple years

Stop using false arguments

Seems to me other than Texas hiring Herman, pretty much everyone else is just reaching or settling

It is not as much settling as this year has lack of even some what proven high level coaches that are available.

Any average football fan could also see the difference between playing Wisconsin and Auburn vs Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Ark this year. The two times we played a decent team we looked just as bad as the Wisky and Auburn games under O.

Yeah, Ole Miss was winning NC's every couple of years 10 years ago in the SEC. Coach O screwed the pooch when he took over that perennial top three program in the country.

Ole Miss won 10 games 2 years before O was hired and 9 each of the 2 after he was fired. He won 10 games in 3 years there's no excuse for that terrible of a record at OM, But we already know context is beyond your level of understanding and doesn't fit your pro O Herman hating agenda.
