Great job to Deion. Pretty amazing what he accomplished in only a few short years of coaching.

I think he’s going to be a flop. The PAC12 sucks and USC/UCLA are leaving soon which will hurt them more. He’ll get some talented kids to go there but I’m not sure he can really coach. He got smoked in their national championship last year 31-10 with superior talent. Should be interesting to see though

I think that he could be successful at the right job. I don’t think Colorado is that job. He’s going to rub a lot of people out there the wrong way and he’s not going to get the exposure he wants because they are on the west coast.

I think he would have been better served taking the USF job honestly.

The media follows Deion. Deion is very media savvy. Just check social media. The recruits know where to find Deion and vice versa. Exposure won't be a problem for Deion at Colorado.

The Pac 12 is wide open. Deion will quickly turn around Colorado and get an SEC job.

They are a mid tier program in a mid tier conference that plays their games at 10 EST. Half the country will be asleep when they play

What's midtier can be a conference contender overnight with transfers and NIL. A lot of you are looking at things in a pre-NIL way. That's why I don't agree with you.

Because Coach Prime thought about even for one second taking a G5 job over a P5

I’d love to see 90s Colorado come back

Now I'm no geography whiz, but... I don't think this is right.

I was scratching my head on that one too. A few months ago I drove from the West Coast to Colorado and it took me a helluva long time to get there

Nice drive though, especially the I-70 through Utah. And of course western Colorado is gorgeous. Eastern Colorado looks like Kansas

Alright, let's slow down.

This is still Colorado we're talking about. Coming off a 1-11 season. And their nearest geographic rival just won back to back conference titles.

So what suddenly makes the Pac 12 "wide open"? USC and UCLA have one conference title combined since expansion. It's not like their departure is what will allow CU to be in contention anytime soon.

I disagree. USC showed what a team can do in the PaC 12 in a single offseason with the
transfer portal. I think Deion will excel in that area and have instant success. The question will be, long term, can he maintain it.

If he doesn’t have the instant success, the yes, I think Colorado not having the natural recruiting base like USF does make you correct.

Deion tours Colorado facility

When you watch this, you’ll understand quick why he did it. I wouldn’t say world class facilities, but this is an unbelievable upgrade from the shite hole he was at.

So much for saving the HBCUs.

Sell kids on coming to the HBCUs and avoid the universities that hole them down in sports. Then jump as quickly as possible to a P5 program.
