Duke had a recent conference title game appearance under cutcliffe. Elko walked into a much better situation.

They were 1-17 in the ACC the two years before Elko was hired.

Duke had been in the ACC championship game under tue coach prior to Elko.

It’s really not comparable, but not for the reasons Faggies think.

As an LSU fan, I would have much rather A&M hired Stoops than Elko. He might have a lower floor, but he’s also got a much higher ceiling. Stoops could not be more “meh.”

Whatever helps you guys cope with this shitshow. I mean you’ve been in denial your entire life, so why should anyone expect you to be realistic now.

Cutcliffe left a pretty solid program there so it’s hard to say. Remember after his first year everyone thought Aranda was gonna be a good head coach then all those upperclassmen left

It actually slipped a good bit his last two seasons. 4-8 and 7-6. And he was never very interested in recruiting. Just ask Ole Miss fans.

Stoops would’ve been very stout at atm

Elko remains to be seen. One would think he will do a nice job overall but there just isn’t a body of work to really know a whole lot yet

I know you’re just trying to troll Aggies but acting like Elko is a bad hire is a big-time casual L take

Agreed. OP really needs to stick to crying about people making mean posts about the Astros on the MSB

Kentucky had not had a ten win season since the 70s before stoops.

Duke had a ten win season in 2013 and an 8 win season in 2018 close to his hiring.

Kentucky hadn’t had one since midway through the rich brooks era.

Elko is/would be an excellent hire. If Riley L doesn't go down, they very well win the ACC this year.

I agree. Both are defense-first guys, but Elko has prioritized getting an OC and offense that works and turning a good QB loose…until he got hurt. But that alone raises his ceiling. Stoops’ perpetually conservative offenses will always hold him back.

Well rumor was that stoops had kingsbury locked up so I’m assuming Elko does as well?

The most important thing here is according to Duke players Elko hasn’t made a decision
