Rees or Locksley please

He is 29-33 at Maryland
He went 2-28 at New Mexico

Locksley would be a terrible hire for a program like Bama

I don't see the problem. Hire the man!

Doesn’t matter who they hire, Saban retiring just got Byrne fired!

They haven’t had a 3 loss season since 2010. The next coach will have two 3-loss seasons in first 3 years.

Probably 2nd best season in Mizzou history. I’m just guessing because I don’t know Mizzou football off the top of my head. I’ll be curious how they do next season after everyone has left.

His recruiting class is solid for Mizzou. Keeping them consistent at least

Do these guys actually desire that job? Hopefully they realize that saban was actually a really good coach and there’s nothing magical about Tuscaloosa.

Thamel also saying it’s down to DeBoer and Norvell.

Either one of them would be a homerun hire.

Are you saying Kelly will guarantee LSU a championship? I doubt that will ever happen because Kelly is the problem.

Did you think O could win a Natty? No guarantees, but odds are decent given 3 straight coaches prior did it.

2nd best season in the last 10 years. Just a notch better than 2014 or it would be the 3rd best in the last 10.

don’t care what anyone says, Drinkowitz would be really successful there.

He’s a good coach….he couldn’t handle Alabama.

That program would likely swallow him whole. He’s a good coach and smart guy, but it is unlikely he would be able to handle the boosters and background noise that comes with a program that size. He would be extremely unprepared for it. This isn’t a knock on Drink, either. I think he would be good or better at a lot of schools. Just not a place like Bama or Texas. Not yet, anyway.

I’d be thrilled if BK moved on to hire Drink. What he’s done at App and Mizzou is more impressive than Norvell IMO.

THIS is the issue. Look no further than Bryan Harsin for an example of a good coach who isn't built for a top SEC job.

I think Drink and Deboer are better versions of Harsin, and that's not meant to be an insult.

Byrne doesn’t say anything to anyone. Nobody knows who he is targeting

I mean this is a major college opening. There are only so many potential candidates. The list is probably fewer than 10.

I'll say this. If Bama fans are patient (and I imagine this will be a 10/120M or so contract), Deboer scares the shite out of me at Bama. He just has to get over the hump, and I'm not sure if Bama fans are going to be patient enough.
