I'd rather have Bill busch back before Raymond.

That’s the year he won the Broyles award

Also on that defensive staff, Cooks as DB coach and Elston as DL coach.
Denbrock was on the staff too.

I think you're referring to when Ohio State lined up a white linebacker on Devonta Smith in the 2020 CFP semis.

that might be it. It was terrible

Also, even if it was the 2012 title with Diaco at DC, you don't make a hiring decision based off of an 11 year old gameplan

Man i get irrational when stuff like that goes Bamas way

Be prepared to be upset then. I have heard the same from a guy has given solid info in the past. Same guy told me the day before W. Davis flip it was coming. Also said Raymond was coming back as DB's and that DL coach was going to be Eric Henderson, the DL coach for the RAMS.

Had good seasons at Cincinnati(2009) and Notre Dame(2010-2012)

Notre Dame 2013 the wheels started coming off the train. Almost like whoever the predecessor's recruits graduated and Kelly/Diaco's recruits werent as good. Even though he moved on to UConn, the notre dame defense got worse the couple years after he left.

Took the HC job at UConn and failed, he isnt meant to be a head coach. Thats not a knock.

2017 Nebraska was a failure. Their defense was 33rd in scoring defense for 2016, in 2017 they were 116th. In 2018 when someone else took over they were back to 88 and then 66 in 2019.

2017 Nebraska Game Log

In 2018 he moved to Oklahoma Linebacker coach. That defense went from 68th scoring defense(2017) to 101st(2018), then back to 64th(2019) after he left.

2019 Louisiana Tech- seemed to have a good stop here, only took a better job at Purdue for 2020.

2020 Purdue - covid year, Purdue was on an upward trend, but whatever players played didnt get the job done. 2021 Purdue had a much better defense.

I dont care if he stays on as a position coach, he seems to be fine as that. Just doesnt need to be running the defense with better coordinators out there. Does anyone think our linebackers looked good this year? Special teams was alright, no big plays but didnt give up big plays either.

1. He could do worse that Diaco.
2. He could do better than Diaco.

Basically, moving Diaco doesn't move the needle. I won't get excited, I won't melt. It would be "wait and see." The LSU defense shouldn't be as bad as it looked. The talent is/was there. Was it as talented as it was in it's prime? No. Was it talented enough to be a top 25 defense? Probably. Bring in the right transfers, bring in the right coaches, and we should be right back on track next year.

Diaco is a damn good DC. He’s still recovering in the coaching circles from a failed stint as HC. I would prefer someone else, but we could do worse than Diaco, former Broyles award winner and still fairly young at 50.

We could do a lot better. Some people arent meant to be head coaches, thats not the issue. Other than his stint at Notre Dame, the dude really hasnt held a job for more than a year at time. Why is that?

Henderson is from New Orleans. Played at Edna Karr.

Coached Joey Bosa (Chargers) and Aaron Donald. He'd be a nice addition if it's true.

Why would a guy go from being perhaps the best DL coach in the NFL to being a college DL coach?

Was just gonna ask the same. Not crapping on the poster saying his source told him that I just find that too good to be true

Not saying I believe it, just trying to add some logic. Maybe the Rams are going to make some changes, and CBK made the call at the right time with the right pitch.

What's his salary? I thought when this happened it's b/c college pays them more. Usually the NFL guys get tired of recruiting and take the paycut back to the NFL.

Maybe someone else can find it because I had no luck. NFL salaries are not required public release like college, but I've heard the same that college typically pays more.
