the Crowton "situation" may resolve itself..ie...He may leave

when was the last time Les "Fired" coaches?

Not his style..even the abomination of Co-DCs were found a place to land...

I know you are trying to be cryptic here, but it sounds like you are saying if Gary can't find a job, Les will just have to keep him because of his no firing policy

Agreed, but the co-dc's left for football related reasons. And I find it hard to believe that Les would have kept those guys on if even if they had not found other jobs.

You're being too cryptic about the "crowton 'situation'"

Maybe this is what he means when he says it is not on his side of the equation. Maybe the fact is, simply put:

nobody wants to take Crowton

the fanbases discontent with Crowton is 100x more than Miles' discontent...but he knows we can do better than 90th in total offense...

Doesn't seem real cryptic to me...

Crowton may have non-football related reasons for not returning to coaching in the near term...

I thought there were indications of this in early November, ie "retiring" or taking a hiatus for personal reasons.

Correct, there are issues to consider on the Crowton side of things.

The "abomination" of co-DCs was about 3 times better than the offense the past 2 years, so I don't know why Crowton is still here.

I hate it for him. He really does have a great offensive mind. But, it is probably too great (i.e. complicated) and he clearly can't develop QBs. So, no matter how complicated his play-calling wizadry is on the chalk board, if it doesn't translate into yards and points, it isn't worth much.

That would surprise me. Miles is a family man, we all know that, but he's also a team-first guy. Keeping Crowton for reasons that aren't football related would be out of character. No?

The issues are not on Miles' side of the equation...

$$$$

Especially after we've just recently given the clown a raise.

His family likes it here better than anywhere they have been. Which surprises me given people's discontent and the level of insanity (meaning fervor) in the LSU fanbase.

his wizardry is highly suspect to me. no "great" offensive mind has as bad the last 2 years as hes had with the players we have. theres simply no excuse.

gary, you called nothing short of a masterful game vs tOSU in the BCSCG, but its been all downhill since and its time for you to move on. you simply have not produced.
