That's a good point. But I wouldn't believe everything you read about Alleva not weighing in on staff decisions.

Graduation rate is what I assume you mean. Otherwise, LSU would be low on the list (if parents have any influence of their kid's decision). Only a few degress from LSU carry any weight. And most football players aren't getting those degrees.

The only SEC school that has legit degree programs that football players would enroll in is Vandy.
If it was really about getting more than just the basic of college degrees the SEC would be garbage in football.
We know that SEC is not garbage so education really doesn't matter to elite college football.

I thought the same....I was surprised at the feedback I heard when this came up in conversations...
Think about it...how many of LSU's scholarship football players go onto the NFL? As a percentage, very few...believe it or not, these guys realize that they need a degree after football...
You really don't have to believe it...but its the truth..

Yes and no... the connections a powerhouse football program provides allows them to make promises to players that say... hey come here, we'll give you a shot at getting to the NFL, but if that doesn't work... come back and we'll get a job with a friend.

If a superior education mattered the SEC would suck in football as we know it does not.
Is it that hard to understand that the degrees the vast majority of football player get in te SEC are not strong relative to other degrees?

The only two guys who were fired that would be considered good hires would be Whipple and Cignetti, and they really weren't fired. Just not retained by new coaching staff.

I dont think Les is a wide open offense guy, he was an O-lineman at michigan, now coaching in the sec. Look for the offensive equivilent of chavis, someone that has a lot of exp, is a little crafty but wont lose the game on offense. The dude eats grass, spread coaches don't.
