Mike Leach...
Does everyone realize that Mike Leach's definition of "running back" is vastly different than Les Miles' and vast majority of LSU fans' definition of that word?

Do you realize that Mike Leach's definition of "running back" is THE SAME AS Les Miles' and vast majority of LSU fans' ?

Leach prefers a seldom used scat back correct?

Just a personal opinion...but I'm out here in the thick of them...not the type of people I enjoy being around and they tend to walk around with a sense of entitlement and a 'holier than thou' attitude. Most think their teams are 'all that' when they haven't done squat. Good basketball team but this area is basketball centric.
oh, i feel ya there

I think Leach could only get these kind of guys. At the same time it was the best suited for his level of recruits at Tt. While at Tt he really couldn't recruit a meat grinder big RB cause they would not fit in his system with what he had at Tt.

i don't think he really cares at RB tbh. as long as he can catch and pass block when called on.

which is why i hope Jan 7 comes and goes and mark whipple lands no where. much like chavis, doesnt get any talk then les makes a great hire.
Mark whipple is the man for the job. same philosophy as miles. power run, play action. hell he made jacory harris look like an all american last year.

I'd be pumped about Whipple. Leach is my #1 guy though. Air-raid is unstoppable

Bro, Leach isn't going to be anybody's OC. I'd get over that.
Don't know much about Mark Whipple. Assume he wasn't the cause of the problems Miami faced the past season or two?

What reason would that be?
Whipple I believe has nice resume, but he did nothing to bring Harris along, and the U is not very good offensively.

I'm really begining to love the smell of all this smoke.......

are they better than 90?

quote:i kinda agree- why does everyone think hes OC bound? too much heat around his name with the texas tech/pony's kid thing to be a head guy?? i will say this though- if he were to come in and turn our offense around, we win big with a NC, he walks the company line and says the right things, id imagine he'd get another shot at a midlevel BCS school.

That's not exactly an encouraging question OP

31st in total offense (422 ypg to our 334), but they averaged a pt less than us in scoring. Jacory threw too many picks.
