You had stated a couple of weeks ago that Woodward was going after someone big for the offensive side of the ball and if he landed him our offensive recruiting would take off. See quotes below. Is this still a possibility? Is the coach you are talking about still in play? Is it a name that keeps being leaked in the media? Thanks

That would be one hell of a hire. When was the last time LSU pulled a successful coach from a Top Power 5 program. I wouldn't consider Michigan State or OK State top power 5 programs.

Based on that I have to think it's Riley. He's still a pretty young guy who could see a higher ceiling as a coach too. That would be a homerun hire, imo and definitely out of left field.

With Riley my concern with the courtship is that OU is 7-0 and seems to be very much in line for a playoff bid.

I agree but I'm worried how it would all work out if OU makes the playoffs. Also will he leave Caleb Williams.
