Not saying he doesn't but whats making you partial to Iota information over the other 3-4 insiders?

He seemed to be the first to know the choice was Riley. Read those quotes on the first page. He said that stuff a month ago.

TBL made some posts on other boards in early October that Riley's name was being thrown around in the AD before Ed's termination was officially announced.

Seems this may have been the plan for a long time.

Regular season is done in a couple weeks. I think there's definitely something in place with someone. The search has ended, quite possibly a while ago.

Given that Riley's name was being thrown around by the real insiders in early October, and given the fact that we still "haven't been told no" after 5+ weeks, I think that's a pretty compelling sign.

Completely agree. Also if he said yes do you really think Woodward is going to be going around telling people that. Nope

If true, it would be out already. There are no secrets and with things like this absolutely no secrets. Too many prying eyes.

Usually, that would be the case, but Woodward does seem to run a tight ship. There really isn't a lot of information leaking out. People have hints of information but it's nothing they can confirm for sure. If Woodward doesn't leak it and Riley and his people absolutely don't want it out, then it can be kept under wraps. Woodward might be going after someone else entirely as well . That's the thing, no one really knows what's going on.

Like I said, no secrets. No one can keep them, especially in this day and age.

Dude. How many natty’s has LSU won since OK? 3!!! There is your answer. Ok has a great winning tradition but I know many who would take LSU’s success any day over theirs. When we get our shot we take it, they flounder it. I think it’s Riley too

And people forget we played in 4th title game...the infamous repeat game that ultimately ushered in the playoffs

Sooo...any guesses as to who this might be describing?

Urban Meyer. Highly intelligent. More skins on the wall than anyone but Saban. Opportunity to win a championship at 3 different schools which no coach has done. Not even the great Saban. No other coach could hit the ground running, change the culture of the program, develop qb's like he does and beat alabama and Saban in his first year. He will also be able to maintain the program at a high level as well.i saw in another post where it was said they are looking at 2 people currently in the NFL. Urban checks off all those boxes. No other coach fits the bill. Thats why I think it's Urban Meyer.

we didnt have to hire him, we wanted to. He brought a binder to the interview for gods sake.

All i know is, if CEO and LM can win here, y'all better look out if we get someone who can speak in complete sentences

Dont think its Riley but his ability to coach qb’s is what separates him from anyone else. LSU can compete every year with great qb play

If Woodward is able to land Riley, Kiffin or Sarkisian, LFG

You mean the guy who's lost five straight at Texas for the first time since 1956 and was just beaten by 1-8 Kansas? THAT Sarkisian?
