LSU fans are the most negative and the sky is always falling fanbase in college football. It’s sad

The last 2 coaching searches have given LSU fans PTSD.

The last two searches have resulted in getting burned after “done deals.” It’s only natural.

Or, LSU fans are more confident he stays at OM than OM fans, so what’s wrong with their fanbase?

Catastrophe syndrome

...although I say that as someone who has consistently thought Lane was going to end up staying at Ole Miss.

But, it's not because LSU can't get Lane. Obviously, LSU is the kind of program that could pull a guy like him from Ole Miss.

Not for nothing. With the exception of 2019 everything from late Miles to now has been retards hiring retards and underachieving with outsized investment and talent.

Quit putting retards in charge of shite LSU. There’s also the tidbit that we don’t have much sample size for how our new President and AD operate, which adds to the uncertainty.

There are some posters here who are legitimately just pussies, but again… the neuroses didn’t spawn from thin air, there are multiple reasons the board zeitgeist is prone to melting & keeping expectations in check.

We’ve experienced our share of letdowns. 1-9, 5 for 5, Herman, Riley, etc.

yes but not in conventional, predictable ways lol. We won a championship with Ed O. A great thing. But extremely unpredictable and uncommon.

Disagree. There’s no reason to think our new president won’t act exactly in the manner he did at McNeese. Only on a grander scale. His tenure there was excellent.

Verge isn’t exactly an unknown, either. He invited my family down as his guests this season so my 10 year old could have his first real LSU experience. I’d argue he’s on par with Woodward in terms of his ability to politic for resources and superior in terms of understanding how coaches think and what they need.

Fair. This coaching search has been unconventional as well to say the least

How can you ask such a question? Seriously! After Tom Herman and Lincoln Riley I’m not sure what it feels like to actually get your first choice.
