If Chris Simms gets a cheeky “associate HC” title it’s gonna get real interesting.

I wonder how difficult it would have been to get a coach this late into things. South Alabama might give him a year to see what he can do and if he doesn't pan out they can get an early start on a search.

Actually good news because Hankton was considered a HC candidate for South Alabama.

to me, it was concerning how far the team regressed from last season.

Let's see if the local recruiting that they have done holds up.

Not bad. He's 45. He's been around the Coaching scene forever, I thought he'd be older. He was only 29 when he was Sabans first OC at Bama.

He was OC; they just promoted him.

Players wanted him and there weren’t many other options with the timing.

They went 6-6 last year; won a game they shouldn’t have and lost a game they shouldn’t have. Probably not too difficult to replicate that record.

Another successful graduate of Saban’s rehab program for fallen coaches. He spent two years as an analyst at Alabama after getting fired from Houston.
