He was one of the “upcoming” OC. I guess his success was tied to closely with Brady being the reason in people’s minds (which may be true).

Granted I hadn’t watched the Bucs much this season but that was one of the worst game plans I’ve ever seen last night. I don’t know how hamstrung he was by Brady’s diminished arm strength but that was pathetic.

Bruce Arians was the brain behind that offense.

He would be just as bad, if not worse. Arians and Brady ran that offense and propped him up.

Yep. As is Andy Reid in KC. Sean Payton was in NOLA. You saw what happened when the OC (in name only) actually got the play calling duties this season.

Now, in defense of guys like Bienemy, Leftwich and Carmichael, most people's offenses look pretty good when you have a HOF QB executing them.

Leftwich was viewed by the media as one of the black assistants they demanded get a HC job seemingly every cycle. It will be interesting to see how they try to spin his firing as racism given that a black HC is the one who fired him.

I'll bet he gets an OC gig somewhere else fairly quickly.

Bruce is on record saying Leftwich did all the game planning and play calling and he didn't do any of that in TB

I wouldn't. I would rather someone else though.

Was that before or after Arians had to admit that the offense turned around in 2020 when Brady took over the game planning and play calling?

TB has no talent on offense and a qb that is 45 years old and is very much starting to look it. They can’t run or pass because they don’t have players (that includes playoff Lenny) and a qb that can no longer throw a simple out.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has to take a demotion to QB coach.

Yea you saw the same mediocre offense we saw with Sean when he didn’t have Drew Brees. Our offense was good the year Sean was suspended and you want to know why? Because we had Drew Brees.
