Not going into detail but I know that my man Wiseguy is as credible as anyone here regarding LSU.

Jim Harbaugh has NOT indicated that he is not interested in the job, according to rivals

That's fine, but if you'll notice I was defending Miles on this (and I'm no big fan of Les). I've never bought into those rumors.

I hope Harbaugh goes. Urban Meyer needs competition up there.

Also, I want Les to stay.

NFL is just a less time consuming gig that offers more money. Harbaugh doesn't have to recruit 365 days a year in the pros.

IMO, Michigan will go all in for Jim Harbaugh, even if it means waiting another month or so for a definitive answer from Harbaugh.

If he eventually says no, or if he absolutely convinces Michigan in the meantime that there is no way he's saying yes this year, Miles will be the guy.

Les wouldn't wait a month to see if Harbaugh wants the job over him.

No, nor Grudens. I question if we can really call this a coaching search yet.

What.

NFL Coaches work FAR, FAR more. They literally live in their office for months and months. Most of them have mini-apartments at the facility.

They don't have to recruit, but the job is, for the most part, far more demanding.

False

Kelly has said as much, you get much more free time in the NFL during the offseason. No real offseason in CFB now

You're kidding?! You mean a successful NFL coach doesn't want to come to a college program and rebuild it?! I am shocked.

Next thing you know, you'll be telling me that Chip Kelly doesn't want to go to Florida.

This is a bad year for LSU to lose Les IMO. Not a ton of obvious candidates out there. No doubt Alleva would screw up big time.

I swear that was a total freudian slip. I hate people who call him that.

CLM doesn't want to leave the team he's expected to have next yr to do a total rebuilding, UM being his old school or not. He's said several times that next yr's team should compete for national honors. Re Harbaugh, several talking heads on both ESPN & Dan Patrick have said that his wife does not want to leave the West Coast, and that is the main reason he'd prefer the Raiders' job over any other opening in pro ball. No talking head is even mentioning the possibility he'd want the UM job.

Harbaugh is the home run hire, for sure.

But, if Michigan doesn't get him, I'm afraid it may get ugly.
