I think the disconnect is it’s weird to make the comment about Durkin when we kept him as DC and not HC.

If we hired him as HC, I think most people would be making the same comment after we lose a player. But I think most people were happy that we kept him as DC even if he didn’t retain everybody.

I didn’t really see anybody advocating for a different DC that we should’ve gone after.

I think people are anxious because we haven’t heard any names rumored to us besides USF guys (for obvious reasons).

If we cut a bunch of guys then don’t replace them with good pieces then I’ll worry. If we only get USF guys then all the criticism is warranted. I’d wait to the portal actually opens before I get worried though.

I wasn’t commenting on whether we should let Simmons walk or not. No idea what he’s getting paid so hard to comment on that.

I was commenting on the idea that if a player asks for more money then it means he doesn’t want to be here and we shouldn’t keep him. Would be a dumb way to go about things if you ask me.
