Is Jerry gonna allow him to look like Mr. T on the sidelines?

Will Jerry allow Deion to have any control?

Part of Deion's success at Jackson State and Colorado is he's basically been in a position to be a total arse to the players and they've had to essentially take it.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, I would argue at the college level that's often times necessary.
I don't see how his style translates at all to the pros. These guys are not gonna be in awe of him or think he's bigger than the team, the players aren't going to put up with his shite.

This is Deion trying to squeeze one of them cush college football contracts with a large buyout out of Colorado and Jerry giving him a bargaining chip.
He will then be set for retirement like Ed Orgeron after the wheels fall off at Colorado in 2 years.

As a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, I welcome these developments and look forward to a new era under Coach Prime.
Deion Sanders was my favorite football player as a child of the 90's.

Players respect players more than coaches that never played at a high level. Saban had only one title at that point, never played in the NFL much less was never an all pro like a guy like Deion was, and so players didn’t respect him.
Deion crazily would likely get player respect from a bunch of them because of his NFL chops as a player. That is what is hilarious.
It would fail likely, but would be fu. To watch.

Jerry is 82. No chance he takes a shot on Deion for 3-4 years. He’s only got about that much left before he’s dead.

Two of the biggest egos in the NFL. Dueling radio shows. Fingers pointing. Hindenburg dead ahead if this happens.

I don’t know. He walks into the locker room with two Super Bowls, a bunch of All-Pro teams, a HoF jacket, and only eight toes because he sacrificed two due to injuries while playing.
If they don’t respect him, then they probably won’t respect anybody.

What a colossal cluster….that would be.

You people are really this obtuse

They want him to fail so bad they can't stand it.
Never seen this much hate for a guy who has never done anything to any of these posters on this site.

13-12 at Colorado... Never underestimate the power of hype. He has done nothing impressive.

Smart move if I was coach prime....Jerry Jones is going to give him a ridiculous amount of money

I’m committing fan suicide if this happens.

A huge mistake for Jerry. Coaching in college is one thing. But the pros is another.
I could see him being a decent CEO type coach. The issue there is even if you are successful for a while, your coordinators get poached... and unless you can just seamlessly keep replacing them, eventually brain drain catches up with you and you don't really know how to do the coaching yourself. Thats why I think hiring a good offensive mind as HC and playcaller is becoming so popular... you provide continuity for your offense and aren't at risk of losing your playcaller every year.
I don't think Deion WOULD be successful, but he COULD be.
