Really... you think so... Aranda's defense at Wisconsin was better than any of Tucker's. He came to LSU and won a national championship in recent times. Not ages ago. And at Baylor he is doing pretty good. Tucker is all over the place and his defenses.... which he specializes in... have never been good against better than mediocre competition. T

Thank you. I am so sick of people saying they are close. They are not close whatsoever.

Even before Wisconsin, Aranda was a monster at some other smaller school.

It would be underwhelming but I wouldn’t say we are screwed. You never know how things could play out

The best college coach of all time had pretty humble beginnings

I’m not a huge Tucker fan, and I am A huge Aranda fan, but come one. Do you not see the hoops your jumping through to differentiate the same 2-7 record?

Yes and they happen

And I don’t think successful coaches with humble beginnings are as big of an anomaly as you think

Either way, I wouldn’t say we are screwed until it actual proves to be true. For now I would just say that that hire would be underwhelming

Tucker doesn't have a long enough track record...about same as Aranda...would Aranda get tiebreaker due to familiarity with LSU?

Aranda has been a success everywhere he has been and while he struggled last year in his first with Baylor during Covid, he has the same team 6-1 this season and in the top 25.

People also ignore how much Baylor lost off their 2019 team.

Aranda would be a great get and is extremely promising.

Tucker took a 7-6 MSU team and was awful last year under the same conditions and while his team is 7-0, they may have played the worst P5 team schedule in the country so far. He also has had a history of downright awful defenses at Chicago and has job hopped a ton.

You’re basically saying they are very similar but claim Aranda is a “much better prospect”.

Based on what? You laid of their HC tenures. If you prefer Aranda, that’s fine. But the hoops you’re jumping through here is fricking retarded.

Yeah you are right... but tie breaker as in maybe it was in recent times... and he was part of the greatest team in CFB history. I just dont want Tucker... I see him as someone in 2 to 3 years everyone is hating life because of.. Mediocrity at its finest.

If you are hiring based on the resume only, Aranda isn’t that great on paper. He’s a 2nd year head coach.

Aranda gets a resume boost having worked here already.

Well... Mel Tucker has joined the chat lol.....

Ok now reverse the argument and tell me why on Tucker's part. What makes him better than Aranda?

I don’t know that he is. I think highly of both. Only one is being completely shite on though.

Welcome to the University of Louisiana State University Woke Shite Show.

Tate and his bunch (JBE and ULSU BOS) will try like mf'ers to get their "Choice" forced in there, but I don't think they will be successful.

And so it begins.....

CRT Tate has one agenda and it has nothing to do with qualifications

Tucker may get the tiebreaker due to his ability to recruit.

So did Aranda those years

Against inferior teams. Has not played anyone this year.... So far.

The difference is Aranda lost to the only decent team he’s played.

Baylor hasn’t played OU. That’s the only team worth a damn in the conference. They lost to Ok State and they haven’t played Texas.
