There are no rules anymore
Posted on 12/16/25 at 9:17 pm to 7Tiger7
Why would you call those two?

Both NOLA legends… that’s why

I wouldn’t mind The Honey Badger as an analyst. Not sure about Fournette.

Fournette is a huge Wilson guy.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Leonard doesn’t support LSU as much in the future.
When Wilson left after Fournette went into the draft, his involvement with LSU went way down.
He said it himself when BK hired Wilson back in a tweet that he might be more engaged with LSU bc they brought back Frank.

What makes you think either one would be a good recruiter/analyst?
Posted on 12/17/25 at 5:07 am to 7Tiger7
1) I believe the rules are such that only on-field coaching positions can go into recruits’ homes.
2) Tyrann, the same guy that talked crap about the Head Coach via social media when we were considering hiring him? Really? Ridiculous

Fournette could probably use the money if he’s doing Dudley DeBossier commercials

analyst can not recruit off campus. frick man, not that simple
do I want TM on staff in the player personnel department....yea but that is more for him to get his coaching career started but frick man, yall got to at least understand the rules before just throwing shite against the wall
only the 10 + HC on the field coaches that can recruit off campus.
Posted on 12/17/25 at 8:15 am to 7Tiger7
They can't make in home visits. They still could be the connect though.
Posted on 12/17/25 at 9:17 am to Brian Wilson
only 10 people are designated to recruit off campus. Analysts can recruit on campus.

Correct. And contrary to popular belief, it doesnt always have to be an "on field" coach. Waivers on that are fairly common. Only the number and proper designation with the powers that be matter.

As with the large majority of the hired recruiting staff. In this age of recruiting 90% of the recruiting is done on campus or through a phone(calls, texts, social media). So much that "in homes"(which traditionally occur during the season after a certain date)are barely reported on anymore by recruiting insiders. The days of "winning the living room" are over in the literal sense. I'd imagine with the agents involved now, many, many recruitments are handled with less than 10 actual conversations between the coaching staff and the actual player. The "personnel/recruiting" departments do a large portion of the lifting in recruiting now. And the agents handle most of the recruits end.
