It really doesn’t matter at this point. JD* is cooked with the fanbase. Even if he’s forgiven, invited back, etc. by LSU, he won’t be comfortable, because the fans will boo him out of the door. To be honest, I’ll probably participate, whereas I do not normally behave in that manner. I contribute a lot to TAF and the program, outside of the fact that my wife and I are alumni, and we have 3 kids at LSU. He was completely out of line, by proxy or otherwise, and he’s made no real attempt to undo it. An unnecessary legal shot at LSU is a shot at LSU fans and alumni. So, I’d like him to stay away.

He can always go back and visit ASU…. Wait, he burned that bridge too. See a trend?

So the way JD represented LSU in sending a C&D letter to LSU was a positive representation of LSU? Sound logical.

Everyone knows this is not about a jersey number. Stay out, Jayden.

If my aunt had a di*k, she’d by my uncle. It didn’t happen.

The team lost 3 games, and the team’s QB opted out of the bowl game. That’s what happened. It turns out that 10 other guys were on the field helping the QB on offense, and the QB won the heisman, an award he had 0% chance of winning had he not transferred from his prior school, ergo LSU made him, not the other way around.

This ordeal will be the biggest regret of his career, and I hope LSU never mentions or illustrates him in any capacity again, as well as couples that position with a policy that JD is never allowed on the field, in the locker room, or at the facilities again.
JD had nothing to play for in the bowl game BECAUSE HE WAS 9-3. This is the point. He delivered no championships. LSU invested in a 6’4” 130lb player, paid for him to be developed at LSU and around the country, and built the offense around him, from which he greatly benefitted, obviously far more so than LSU benefitted. 10 other guys on that field made way for his heisman, and they’re not sending C&D letters to LSU.

The kid is unprofessional and seeking the spotlight. He got it, and it appears it lighted him up for what he is, an ungrateful self-serving guy that is willing to alienate those who made him.

Bye, Jayden. Don’t come back.

He will forever regret this ordeal.

Probably, because CBK still would have sucked, and Underwood probably would have transferred. Agree that it worked out well for LSU.
Publicity nightmare for JD. I think LSU will leave the door open for him to make a big public apology in the very near term and let this thing fade away if he does (not that I agree with that approach). However, I’m guessing his camp is trying to make this about more than a jersey number, in which case LSU will comply with the C&D and completely disassociate with JD. Regardless, JD has 100% lost the LSU fanbase.

Believe it or not, this probably had to be referred to the Attorney General and de facto to the Governor. I’d bet we could all predict the Governor’s response.

You obviously know nothing about the Mondo situation in terms of national team association. If you did, you would quit talking sh*t, and everyone in this forum would have done the same thing.

He still trains at LSU for a portion of the year, has a place in BR, and his sister competed at LSU for 4 years, and he loves LSU, and he promotes LSU where he can be influential.

Focus on JD. He’s the real trader.
Goodbye, Jayden. Don’t come back.

If you line up 1,000 people from around the country and put the Commanders and LSU logos in front of them, the overwhelming majority would recognize LSU’s over the Commanders. He can have his NIL.

At this point (contrary to the Kelly years) LSU doesn’t need Jayden’s NIL, and by using it, he gets more benefit than LSU.
There’s nothing for LSU to handle. Comply with the C&D, completely disassociate with JD, and move on. The only party that will suffer is JD.
Seriously, I hope he never steps foot in BR again.
Did anyone have Cannon’s number before it was retired, Joey B’s…. You know the answer. Jayden forgot who made who, and if he renters the stadium, he’ll be booed, and it’ll be deserved.
Bye, Jaden. Don’t come back. We made you, not the other way around.
Finally, a lucid position. The only thing I’ll add is that if LSU made a promise to the players which it did not keep, the players could seek legal action to recover any judgments they suffered from LSU. I very much doubt LSU contractually agreed to pay players’ breach responsibilities with third parties.
LSU is not party to the contract and hasn’t been sued, moron.
Because the players are PROFESSIONALS, with lawyers/agents. They are adults that enter under professional contracts with other adults and/or organizations, with both parties following advice of counsel. The players and their lawyers know the risks, and they benefit from the rewards.

This is a legal matter contemplating breach, which is basically OM saying “though I gave you no money, you broke your promise to me, and it caused me financial damages at some level.” OM has the burden of proving its measurable damages, which will be quite difficult, given the team has not played one down with the two players this season, and comparison to last year’s performance is immaterial given so many factors have changed, players, coaches, etc.

The NCAA will not subject itself to a damages suit from the players or LSU via restricting play.
