I'm not entirely convinced Stoops still has the amount of dog required to deal with the SEC atp. Walking out on a top 5 team two months before the season starts is alarming imo

Chip Kelly would be a disaster at Florida. As much as McElwain hated recruiting, Kelly hates it even more. His offense also would not work in the SEC. Bob Stoops is the best option if they can get him out of retirement.

This is a good list save one. But like Meatloaf said, "Two out of three ain't bad."

They could be under consideration, but highly doubtful those are the top 3.

BTW this was Stricklin's response to that Tweet:

So this is who you "reached out to". Who are you actually going to get?

Yea, unless OU is about to get popped by the NCAA or a massive scandal his reasons for quitting due to health concerns must be exactly as he stated. I guess every school looking should call him but I doubt he ever coaches again.

Kelly and Stoops are pipe dreams

Strong is actually an interesting case, I think he could recruit really well at Fla, he knows the landscape and he could pretty much recruit that state for most of his talent. I think Texas was just a bad fit from day one. Some in Austin never wanted him. He was almost a fish out of water trying to recruit the state of Texas.

The track record is there. He had some good years at Louisville as a head coach and South Fla has not missed a beat.

Don’t think Strong would ditch USF that fat given what he just went through at Texas

I don't think Strong has much of a shot at all. He should have been hired when Meyer left, but that ship has sailed.
