Also noted that O was given a budget on his hires and it could be negotiated.

This is interesting. I guess it explains why Freeman was "only" going to get around 2 million and it didn't turn into a bidding war.

None of that coaching tree or agent nonsense has anything to do with coaching hires, beyond the familiarity aspect.

Coaches go where they have the best opportunity to advance in their careers and make the most money.

To make them part of some Machiavellian scheme by college football elites is ridiculous and stupid.

“In the tent pissing out”???

Some of LBJ’s aides thought he should try and oust FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.

Obviously aware of the volumes of dirt Hoover had on everyone, LBJ replied: “It’s better to have him inside the tent pissin’ out, than outside the tent pissin’ in.”

I cringed a little when he said Austin Thomas was brought in to help Coach O with a lot of the off the field stuff,

I would assume this would mean recruiting.

You’re right, Saban has no control over the SEC office and their decision making and Jimmy Sexton is good, fair man!lmfao

Jimmy Sexton does the best job he can for his clients, as he should. He's the best in the business.

Saban doesn't have any control over the SEC office. That's retard talk.

After taking a look at the coaching staffs of all the playoff teams, a few names jumped out at me as possible candidates.

Chris Kiffin- Cleveland Browns DL coach and brother of Lane Kiffin. Was a defensive line assistant at USC under Orgeron, DC at FAU under Lane, and pass rush specialist coach for the San Francisco 49ers last year that went to the Super Bowl. Also had stops as a DL coach at Ole Miss under Hugh Freeze, Arkansas State DL coach, Defensive quality control at Nebraska, and intern for John Gruden at Tampa Bay

Karl Dunbar- Pittsburgh Steelers DL coach and former DL coach at LSU. Also coached at Alabama under Saban on their 2017 championship squad

Sam Mills III- Washington FB DL coach. Son of Saints great and leader of the Dome Patrol, Sam Mills. Followed Ron Rivera to Washington after having a role as a defensive assistant in Carolina since 2005.

This is merely speculation on my part that was based on NFL playoff team staffs with assistant coaches that seem to have good enough resumes to warrant a look, connections to LSU, and connections to Ed Orgeron through previous staffs he has worked on.

Isn’t he in a jam on the Title IX stuff?

Yes, why is Morial even representing LSU on the air right now?

This University has become so fricked up Libtard PC it's hard to summon up the desire to support anything at LSU and that includes the athletic teams.

It all trickles down. You don't bite the hand that feeds you........

Absolutely. VA is implicated in all the Title IX stuff and LSU spews him out over the air.

It's the Cam Cameron approach! Laziest coach in LSU history.

Why are you getting outraged at unfounded rumors in multiple threads?

People are just throwing out random names and people are reacting as if it is fact.

I am really surprised someone in the department hasn't told Verge to STFU about anything and everything until the Title IX shite blows over. He needs to go sit quietly in a corner and not put his name or voice in the public right now.

Not trying to troll but who do they realistically think they are pulling from Bama or Clemson? I don't think Golding is leaps and bounds better than any other DC not coaching in the championship game. I don't get the infatuation with him other than he is from Louisiana.

Quite the moronic take as his first choice was from the college ranks.
