Basically we will be waiting for awhile as they are looking at coaches from Pros and he also mentioned some possible candidates coaching tonight for the cfp ship. I'm not opposed to any of this as yes we did miss out on Freeman, but there's still a ton of great coaches still out there.

They better be doing due diligence on other candidates who are not currently involved in the pros and CFB Championship. There are plenty of other qualified candidates right now. At least interview. I’m sure they are and that is just a statement being put out.

I agree, i'm sure things are moving and we are keeping it silent. But Knowing there are candidates still coaching more so pros than CFP tonight lets me know that possibly Nielsen is still in play.

O loves him some NFL coaches. Because that means they'll automatically be good college coaches in his tiny little brain.

I cringed a little when he said Austin Thomas was brought in to help Coach O with a lot of the off the field stuff, knowing Verge is in the middle of the off the field stuff

What a dumb post. Go look at hires being made around the country.

O is not part of the inner circle of college FB. Meaning he didn’t come from the Saban or Meyer tree and Jimmy Sleezeball Sexton is not his agent. Therefore it is more advantageous for him to to go to the NFL. I don’t see a problem with that. I’d much rather him hire Nielson than say Golding...

Well based on what the OP is saying those may be the top 2 targets currently.

Well, with that being said let’s hope if we get them from Bama it’s Golding and not Charlie Strong!
I wouldn’t mind Strong in some capacity, just not as my primary play caller. I feel like the game may have passed him by...

Past Hires: Jerry Sullivan, Pete Jenkins, Bill Johnson, Greg McMahon, Joe Brady, and James Cregg,

Current Hires: Jake Peetz, and DJ Mangas,

His past hires indicate his brain may be larger than yours.

Yes, he said they hired Brady’s guys because they convinced Coach O that they could run Brady’s same offense in 2019. Also noted that O was given a budget on his hires and it could be negotiated.

The attitude towards Verge now may be a case of keeping him in the tent pissing out.

Translation: We're looking at some recycled has-been who's fixing to be put to pasture by his current NFL team and is looking for an easy paycheck.
