It humorous the way you hate Deion so much that you can’t give the guy credit for the job hes done at JSU.
The quote you pulled out WAS a compliment. He worked the angle he had to work. Props to him for it.
Why are you white-knighting for him?
And I don't hate anyone. I share my opinions about college football on a message board. Being critical of Deion and his potential future coaching success is not hate just because you may disagree with it.
I follow football recruiting pretty closely, so I followed the Prime Prep fiasco while it was happening because he had a lot of prospects there. I'm not sure there has been a high school self-destruction like that in the history of the nation. His failures as a leader and as an administrator are epic.
I really don't understand how he would pass vetting for a job at any level of higher education.
You should read about it. It's quite mind-blowing. So pardon me if I chuckle at the thought of him being given "full control" over Colorado's football program.

CU does not support athletics.
This is sad. CU football might not be a traditional power but they have had some success in their history. They won over 700 games in their history. I’ve always loved their stadium with the mountains in the background.

I just cannot see the woke Karen's that run that place going all in. 3 years until it falls apart, most of it not on Deon.

I’m thinking nick Williams.
One thing about Nick Williams I can guarantee is that he will never be welcome back in Athens as long as Kirby is there. Dude burned serious bridges there, which is strange to do at your alma mater.

Well, we will see if his stuff works in the big time. If you consider the big12 the big time.

Cyborg nailed it. I live in the Dallas area and he was on the news every night during that shite show.
I love Deion the player, but make no mistake, he is a fraud, and will do anything in his power to benefit himself
He also had a very nasty divorce and there were a lot of bad allegations floating out there

I think Deion could do OK in Col, but he needs pretty heavy oversight from compliance and be forced to hire an old school former HC as one of his coordinators. He needs an internal person that knows the required attention to detail areas that are expected to make a big time program be able to function.
If he has that, I think he could actually do quite well there. He’s never going to be an iron fist type that controls every aspect of a major program, but if he has some to do most of that for him, his passion and recruiting ability will make him successful at Col. If he is allowed full control and little oversight, this is a get your popcorn ready scenario. The problems at Prime prep and all of bad publicity it entailed were still somewhat softened vs what many rumored that was going on.

There’s no way he takes this job without written contractual language saying they will invest in the product.
If the admin/boosters want to signal they care bout football again, why pick Deion?
Even if they're right, he's going to jump jobs as soon as he can.

Illinois defensive coordinator Ryan Walters.
Colorado alum and will be a head coach somewhere soon.
They are making a huge mistake.

If he does that means he left Colorado better than he found it

Does it have anything to do with Smoke Bouie?

Reports of Colorado offering Coach Prime $5 million a year with incentive increases of up to $7 million.

there is a big difference between beating no-star recruits with three and four-star players and competing straight up with teams of rosters full of four-stars.
He's going actually have to prove he can coach.
Not sure why you were downvoted but this is exactly what it boils down to

I know. I told you. Only reason I knew he was going to CO was because of the A&M assistant leaving. Never heard of nick Williams before today, and had no idea he was Smoke Bouie’s guardian or whatever.
All this shite makes my head spin.

No, it has to do with HOW he left Athens. Never said a word to Kirby, just quit and left town.
There are reports that he didn't particularly like Kirby's leadership style, which is fair IMO. We've all had bosses that we didn't like how they did things.
