Bama is still going to recruit itself for the next year or so at least. Maybe not at quite the same level, but it will.

DeBoer or Norvell

Two most realistic options & mutual interest is still not guaranteed.

Yea, but Washington has been 29th in recruiting the last three years.

His hometown is closer to Ann Arbor than it is to Tuscaloosa.

Seems like it’ll be Norvell or a darkhorse…Fisch

Did you guys forget who we hired?
Lsu hired a guy with 20 years head coaching experience and 10 of that being at a major school who averaged around 10th in recruiting rankings

Yes, I remember

LSU made the most non-risky sure thing hire possible.

The equivalent right now would be Bama taking Kelly from lsu.

Yep. Also, three of our four national championship head coaches primarily had ties to the midwest, like DeBoer.

"But muh zero ties to the south!"

To compare a guy who has 2 years at Fresno state and two years at UW is the same as a guy who had 4 years at UC and 11 at ND is silly.

Additionally ND recruits major nationally at catholic schools

Even with that experience and success we caught hell about “fit”

I’m saying that fit is not the factor you guys are making it if that’s who they want

Whether or not that’s who they want I don’t know

A lot of it is projection. A lot of lsu fans are saying they think norvell is the best choice and a lot of bama fans are against it. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

They were in the 50’s before he got there. Washington has never really recruited “well.” Their best class was 15 in 2018 or so.

You think Saban recruited any better when he was at Michigan State? He didn't.

Why would you think DeBoer can't recruit? He's had more success at Washington than Sark did when he was there.

DeBoer would be a great hire for Bama. I kinda hope it’s not him but he’s one of the best and better than Lanning. IMO

I lean this way too. A DeBoer hire bothers me more than Lanning for some reason. All the guy does is win. Lanning's douchebag act makes me think he's more sizzle than steak.

I don't think he'd have a problem recruiting at a high enough level either. That apparatus is already built in Tuscaloosa. Losing Saban was going to ding their recruiting efforts no matter who they brought in.

Agree it’ll be DeBoer.

It makes zero sense for sark to move. Texas has more money than bammer and a better recruiting base

Kiffin and dabo personalities rule them out.

Norvell too underwhelming a hire.

Ryans has a much better gig in the NFL and taking a college job is a step down, so he’s out

It can only be DeBoer

And to grind it out in the SEC week in and and week out, you need top talent AND depth.

You’d think he’d wait to see if Harbaugh bolts. Seems a better fit in Ann Arbor
