re: Cam McCormick (Miami TE) will return for his 9th year of college football
Posted by BlueStream on 1/18/24 at 5:23 pm to GetPiggywithIt
i gotta think that he has some kinda affiliation with Cristobal. he was at oregon, now miami, and about to play his 9th year, and if the stats posted in the thread are true (i'm too lazy to verify), then there's something else in play
most 5th and 6th year players have to be asked to come back on the team. they're not granted the right to play w/o approval of the coaching staff. so for his lackluster production, and the fact that he's been at oregon and miami, there has to be some other reason besides football as to why Cristobal is ok with him occupying a roster spot

does the scholarship cover that many years of eligibility? how many degrees does he have or will have at the end of 9 years?

maybe the NFL doesn't want him anymore
this
or doesn't want to give JH all the control/other stipulations that he's asking for. JH wants to win a superbowl, but not at any cost. it has to be the right situation

He's using the NFL as leverage for a monster offer from UM.
totally false
every UM insider has reported that he'd be the highest paid coach in the big 10, and top 5, if not top 3 in the country
the main thing is having protection from the university if there's a show-cause placed on him and whether or not UM could fire him. basically, he wants UM to protect him no matter what the NCAA finds or any punishment it imposes, which is a TALL task
also, other minor points include increased NIL funding, and increasing asst coaches salary
re: Is it just me orr does Harbaugh to Philly scare the shite out of anyone else?

seriously? the eagles would fire a coach 1 year removed from a superbowl appearance in which they were like 2 plays away from winning it?
