Yeah no, Kelly’s offense won’t be better. There‘s no such thing as better. I like Kelly and look forward to his coaching, but there won’t be any better than Da Joe Brady offense. Nick Saban couldn’t figure it out.

Jesus christ, it wasn't really earth shattering. We just had more talented upper classmen than anyone else in the entire country. With competent coaches implementing and play calling. The team was chock full of leaders too.

Based on Brennan’s comments about his convo with Kelly,

Kelly has always hired a yes man as his OC

Why would it be any different?

It’s Kelly’s playbook

Thats what the 2nd headcoach was for. Not sure how they’ll manage it moving forward.

That's not exactly what he said...

He just said Kelly is involved in the QB room and the offensive design.

That doesn't mean Kelly will be running the O and calling plays.
so the OP isn't even close to what was said.

You're dumb...these are the comments

quote:

As they talked, Brennan asked about Kelly's offensive philosophy. Kelly told him he will attend the quarterbacks' meetings and bounce ideas off the starter. Kelly intends to tailor the scheme to LSU's players.

Im sticking with what I thought a month ago, its going to be Denbrock and Golding. Denbrock was in Kellys wedding, Golding probably signed up a while back and as part of the deal we have to keep it quiet until after his last game.

Remember 2019, the day after the NC game we found out lots of guys had already made deals weeks beforehand and were out the door that day.

He needs to get someone in here quickly to call the 3rd down plays.

Hopefully the DC is Pete Golding. Good DC and he can stop kicking our fricking arse in recruiting

It was still Kelly’s offense tho. He is going to implement the offense he wants and hire someone else that will call the plays. That’s how most head coaches do it for the side of the ball they are familiar with.

Correct, Alabama is running Nick Sabans 3-4 defense. He is going to be involved in game plan. Pete Golding is the one that calls the Defense but on his call sheet for every formation, down and distance, situation, etc, the defensive play sheet from which he calls is Nick Saban's 3-4 defense.

Wait wait wait

We need 1.5 OC’s to win. 1 to call 1st and 2nd downs and the second to call 3rd down plays.

However will we survive

Don't forget 1 for Passing and 1 for Running.

it was just an aggressive, downfield-passing first offense. We had the Heisman winner throwing the ball to 3 NFL WRs, two of which are Pro Bowl caliber.

If Kelly gets the same type of talent, he would probably run a similar attack.

One thing that is already clear, he's going to focus on having a better O Line than we have had in a few years now. And there's zero wrong with being able to run the ball and control the clock.

The thing I worry about is, they have big time talent at WR, if he sticks to his scheme/philosophy at ND, they wouldn’t be the focal point. You would be ignoring your mismatches on offense. I just hope he adjusts and implements the offense based off of the talent available and what creates the mismatches that makes it hard for defenses to defend and predict. A prolific passing offense has been the offense that has won the championships lately.

He told Brennan he’ll adjust based on the talent he has
