Where has journalism gone? this cheese wad decides to "report breaking news that he doesn't have any news" but! there could be a massive offer to report soon. BS. Report something when you have confirmed sources.

I have no inside sources on this, but have followed football and coaching hires for decades. Usually if word leaks that an "offer" has been made, as opposed to "reached agreement in principle" or are "in negotiations with" it's a smokescreen.
Either the person to whom the offer was made wasn't interested or the person making the offer isn't authorized to make the offer.
It's kind of a CYA leak. So if you don't get him you can say we tried to get him.
Again no ax to grind here and absolutely no inside info, just an educated guess after watching a bunch of coaching searches go down.
All that said, I like Gruden and think if he were to coach in the SEC it would be nothing but good for the SEC and the program that gets him.

This is just straight up false. As has been said, Arkansas can outspend any university not named Texas or Alabama.
Money is not Arkansas' problem, barren in-state recruiting, an absolutely insane fanbase, and massive competition from within the division (much less conference) are the biggest problems to coaching at Arkansas.

I would feel so bad for Tennessee fans if Gruden goes to Ar-Kansas. Tennessee fans are much better than most SEC fans, sucks that this garbage has to happen to them.

I can't imagine why anyone would want Gruden as a college coach. He has star power but he has no experience with recruiting or the limited hours for college players. He's a pro coach. I can't wait until someone tells him that he can't spend an extra 40 hours a week breaking down film with his quarterback.

Could be true, Did anyone notice the color of the tie that Gruden is sporting tonight. Sure looks like Arky's colors to me. If it does go down, I say Congrats Hogs, As I said when the Petrino thing went down, you could get a better hire that Petrino and certainly someone with mor e character than him. If it works out then Congrats and we will once again be getting it on.

Yeah you are right BHO, I had some friends of mine from Mississippi up here in Octobr doing some hunting. they some big time Ole Miss fans and I go up to them saying well it looks like Tenn is going to get Gruden. Told them all that when some of the Vols fans were stating all that as truth. Wow what a heel I was.
