Actually, Criminal Justice. I wanted to be a US Marshal. Things changed,
I like Drinkwitz. I think he'll be a good coach.

This guy used to pull me out of tussles with corn dogs and Bama fans.
The Lou Holtz Curse
Posted by blacknblu on 12/7/19 at 8:02 pm
Have we had a truly spectacular coach since Lou Holtz? I mean, look at our history. I’m not going through a lifetime of coaches to prove a point, but maybe we do have history with a mediocre program. I was just on campus touring with my daughter, and it seams everything has changed, save the 8 wins and we’re happy culture.

My dad used to smoke a pipe, and he had a collection of meerschaum pipes he had purchased while in Turkey.

I'm betting it's someone from the NFL. It almost has to be a household name already.

Seriously, did ANYBODY predict Bielema? Maybe that's not the best example, but I don't think anyone knows except for HY and the future HFBC.

There are worse, but is he what really need to turn around the program? He’s been on since Bert, and we haven’t exactly been blazing trails.
Rock city says we have our new coach

We should be able to snag a couple with that

Can confirm

Missouri State just came through with a $6,750 per year scholarship. I'd say take the ACT again, but it looks like that'll only increase $ from OOS schools.

I think whoever it is, Lunney needs to stay on staff and Pittman must be brought in
I wouldn't be surprised to see him go now that he has a taste for coaching in the SEC.
re: Whelp, Kiffen has some traction now...

All we need right now is a maxi pad, and I think Kiffin is our guy. We need someone to stabilize the program, and then hand over the keys (if necessary). I could never imagine Kiffin being a long term hire, but who knows?
Now watch it be some NFL coach

Also, you should apply to Wash U even if you get rejected.
I've been wondering about WashU, and really wish she would have shown some interest earlier. She did apply ED1 for Vanderbilt but based on the fact her ACT score is 29 - that's a pretty tough obstacle to overcome. Funny enough, her weighted GPA is 4.167 (3.95 unweighted), and she is ranked 22 of 577 - and Mizzou only coughed up $4,500? I would have thought there would be more opportunity :dunno:
You guys have been so helpful and informative! Truth be told, I’d love to send her Mizzou, but it’ll likely come down to money. UMKC is making a strong showing, She may may need to visit the campus.
I truly am grateful for everyone who is contributing to the conversation!
She also applied to Arkansas, and they can kiss my Cardinal bleeding arse ??. After tuition NRTA scholarship, I was looking at 35k a year. That’s WashU price ranges (I know - retail WashU is on par with Vanderbilt).

My daughter is in the med program there. She’d be happy to text with her or whatever if she wants. It’s certainly not for the faint of heart.
That's really cool of you
I'll bring it up in conversation.

She's written more essays in the past month than I think over 2 years of high school. I'm hoping that pays off!

She wants to go to Medical School and be a Doctor. We've hit the UMKC 6 year program pretty hard, but she's worried that she won't like being a doctor -
SO... TL;DR - she really doesn't know
