re: Aranda’s record is 12-9. Is a lazy hire and people only want him bc he’s familiar.

You have to ask yourself, after watching Baylor this year win but doing it with a very unimpressive offense with solid defense, do you want to go back into that Les Miles Era winning.
Meaning that the season is only as good as the defense allows and we win by very low scoring affairs.
Baylor is 26th in ypg, 33 (I think) in ypp, and 19th in offensive TDs

1. He is probably the sole reason Les Miles remained employed as long as he did
Miles literally got fired in his first season at LSU. I like the guy but get your facts together.

quote:Uhhhh excuse me. Baylor was 11-2 and played for the conference title in 2019. Aranda didn’t have to rebuild anything.
That's what happens when you take over a job that has to be rebuilt.

I think you will get very Les Miles results with Dave but with far less talent bc atleast Les was charismatic enough to convince recruits he knew what he was doing. Far better of a salesman than Dave is on a personable level with recruits and parents.

Their offense was pretty dang good and efficient actually.

He is not Jimbo/Kelly. He has done a whole lot with a RB at QB.

Not me. I want him because I’ve watched his team play this year, and they are incredibly well coached
For what it’s worth, i wanted him after Miles was fired.

Apparently u don’t understand how college football works, and go check les and saban records before LSU.

Glad somebody is somebody is saying it.
Can we please hire who can do both recruit and a side of the ball?

You’re aware Baylor is 26th in the country in total offense and 30th in PPG right? Try again.

Just go out and take Arkansas OC! He will get it done at LSU! :)

Couldn't have said it better. Nothing says better coach than beating someone heads up with lesser talent.
I would be happy with Dave.

Aranda is smart as shite and is an absolute up and comer.
This is the dumbest thing I have read all week.

Aranda’s record is 12-9.
7 of those 9 losses came in year 1. as a HC. That does not make it a lazy hire. No lazier than Matt Rhule at Baylor whom it took 3 years to get 10+ wins.

Aranda is taking a team to its conference championship in only his second year. At Baylor.
It took Saban the same amount of time to do that at both LSU and Alabama.
