There has been some rumblings about the buy out on house being a problem. I really don’t buy it but IF that is true I’d be fine with the duo from yesterday at a bargain and firing house.

Thoughts?

Yes, if that's how it has to play out I am fine with it.

1. Rest assured, any buyout for House is no problem. Any talk to the contrary is ignorant bullshite. If Kelly wants him gone, he’s gone and boosters will pony up that buyout quicker than I can eat a Raising Cane’s box combo.

2. That being said, from what I saw in the bowl game, I would not be crazy about the idea of Slankton calling plays against what is now a Murderer’s Row of an SEC. But I’ll trust CBK on this. After all, it’s his offense.

Also get an additional coach if we do that, hire a great ST coach.

And replace everyone on defense.

The two are not related.

No one is getting fired, hired, not fired, not hired, due to money.

We could pay a top level OC and top level dc.

The stupid shite scone is pumping about us being broke is retarded.

If BK wants House gone the money would be there in a second to hire a nc winning type dc

House's contract signed before 2022 season.
"Year 1: $1.8 million
Year 2: $1.9 million
Year 3: $2 million"

Unless it was extended, he would only have to be paid $2 million since he would be in the final year of the 3 year contract signed.

Which I'm sure can be spread out over time.

Sloan is a proven QB coach with a Heisman winner. Hankton also produced an "on the field" Biletnikoff receiver this season. FW is a great coach, as well, on the offensive side, despite his primary role as RC.

We need one of everything on defense.

I'm definitely not ok with making a decision on those grounds.

Sloan / Hankton need to be a good decision in a vacuum.

BK has a long history of hiring from within.

the offensive play calling wasn't terribly different in the bowl game yesterday. Seemed fine to me so long as position development doesn't suffer from their duties being elevated then I am good with it if thats the direction BK goes.

I feel like you lose any chance at Underwood if Sloan doesn’t agree to stay in some capacity, so hopefully they find a title he’s happy with if not named OC. Same goes for Hankton and keeping some of the top WRs committed.

Yeah, the idea of co-OC/DC sounds nightmarish in my estimation. We've already lived through it once and it sucked.

Maybe. Just maybe.

Doug Mallory and Bradley Peveto were bad coordinators.

Crazy thought I know.

Let’s just toss aside that Clemson had Co-OCs during their run.

Just forget that OU had a tremendous defense in 2003 with co dcs

Georgia has had co DCs since 2019.

Forget all that.

Doug Mallory and BDP prove that cocoordinators can never work.

first I heard of this was from Mascona. I don't buy it either. If they want House gone, money won't stop them after how bad this defense was.

I disagree with this. It can work with the right ppl. But most ppl's personalities won't allow it to work.
