Anybody else willing to admit they don't know who the best OC & DC would be?

I love following LSU football, I enjoy the Rant and I'm always happy to see this Coaching Changes Board when it opens each year whether or not LSU is one of the teams looking for coaches.
That said, while I follow all the different threads suggesting different people for Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator, I have to admit, I know very little about any of them and which ones would be the best choices.
I just hope that the people making the decisions for LSU get it either right or lucky on both hires (and the other coaching hires).

No, I’m not.
The best OC would be Lincoln Riley and best DC would be Nick Saban. We’d win a lot of championships with those two calling them schemes and plays.

I know Graham Harrell and Longo aren’t good OC options. I know that.

Almost nobody on one of these boards ever knows who would actually be the best for our program.
It’s hard to know when you can’t see the internals and the relationships.
For the most part hires don’t work if people are butting heads all the time no matter how good of a coach they are

I have no idea, but I don't mind sharing my layman's opinions on a free message board until we find out.

I want Moorehead at OC with Callaway as QB’s coach and Marcus Freeman or Barry Odom at DC.
Having said that, I admit that I don’t know who the best attainable coordinators would be.

I'd take Tee Martin or Harrell.

Raises hand.
I have no fricking clue who would be best.

I don't know who would be the best, but I do have some idea of who will be bad

No matter who is hired. A bunch will hate it and say orgeron sealed his fate. A bunch will like it. And that would happen with pretty much anyone who is hired. Unless as poster above said saban and Riley were hired.
In reality we won’t know if it is a good hire or fit till next year.

Give me the 2019 players with any OC.

The coaches and athletic directors don't even know.

You don't know shite. GH has put up great stats and can almost guarantee you haven't even looked at them, especially the unt offenses.
Longo has had issues scoring against great defenses at Ole Miss, but he was also at ole miss(yes i know the talent he had). He also has put up great numbers at unc.
I will raise my hand and say I do not know who it should be based on availability. And neither does anyone else on this board because it's a lot more about fit and vision than people realize.
I personally would like moorehead and freeman as top choices. But how the hell do I know if they would work out or not.
I can tell from putting together the stats thread that there are a lot of good options available especially for OC.

absolutely not, but I will criticize the hire(s) with perfect 20/20 hindsight at the first sign of trouble next season

Like many schools, LSU has thousands of fans. A small percentage are your typical Monday morning quarterbacks. They are identified by the wannabe coaching fraternity motto "in that situation I would have called this play" Of course that is always with the benefit of hindsight. Had the play worked, then they would have agreed with the coach.
Trust the people involved. Remind yourself that they have forgotten more about football than you will ever know in your lifetime.
