Sports Illustrated Includes Brian Kelly In List Of Candidates For The Penn State Job

With Penn State firing James Franklin on Sunday, many have begun compiling lists of candidates to land the job in Happy Valley.

One of those potential candidates, according to Bryan Fischer of Sports Illustrated, could be LSU coach Brian Kelly...

LSU coach Brian Kelly could be a better cultural fit with the Nittany Lions than he is at LSU.

There’s a case to be made that Kelly and Franklin were the two most successful head coaches not to have won a national title and that going from one to the other will only produce the same results in State College, Pa. But Kelly is a serial winner and seems like a much better cultural fit at Penn State than LSU. A change of scenery on the coach’s end and a big name on the school’s end could be a win all around.

Who is a good for LSU? When CEO was here, half of ya'll called him a shrimp boat captain. When CLM was here, half of you all just called him an idiot. When Saban first came here, what did everyone say..."he doesn't fit in". So seriously, who do you think is a good "fit".

Never happen imo. Kelly is too old to be hired for that kind of pay. They will go for someone who is more youthful so they could be there a long time, if successful.

They're not paying his buyout. Adidas is paying for all of Franklin's buyout, and they're giving Penn State money for NIL with their new deal they have with them.
