Ed Orgeron appeared on 104.5 ESPN's "Off the Bench" this week and talk about quarterback Myles Brennan who has been working on gaining weight since arriving in Baton Rouge as a freshman in 2017.

Orgeron said that he spoke with Brennan on Monday and told him that he is weighing in at 219.
quote:

"I talked to Myles yesterday, he weighed 219. Myles came to us at soaking wet 170. I know that for sure."
Brennan played in 10 games last season, completing 24-of-40 passes for 353 yards and one touchdown.

I hope he has a good season as a first year starter and does not get rawHided for not living up to high expectations. He seems like a well raised young man!

No more "skinny guy" jokes now, this kid is a solid, well-built stud of a QB now. 220 pounds is about as solid as it gets, he really doesn't need to gain anymore weight. He's what?? 6'4 and is now 220, that's a solid QB!

Doesn’t matter. We probably won’t get to see him play this year.

Just means he’ll be 230 bench pressing 400 by the time he plays . Always upside if you look for it.

220 is good enough for me. I mean Julio is 220. Thats enough to stand up in the SEC. I doubt the kid is getting fat he has a high metabolism.

He said in an interview that he wants to be at 220 before camp so that he will be around 215 when the season starts.

I just hope he can learn to read defences and evade the rush and run when necessary.

Dude fires that fricking pigskin like a boss. He needs to take a little mustard off his throws and finesse some throws. Joe B benefitted many times from receivers coming back for the balls. It seemed almost instinctual.

This is what they mean when they say “he has a good frame” or “he will grow into his frame.” Not all football players are full grown men at 18. Sometimes it takes a few years to fill out.

Arden key was in shape and looking solid for Lsu back in 2016 or 2017 at 235 lbs or so. Took his personal time off for several reasons. Came back at 270 lbs out of shape.

Wtf does that have to do with Myles? Arden was a pot head.

220 lbs in shape or 220 lbs out of shape. Looked in shape to me during the fall season at 205 lbs is he eating honey buns at home? Oatmeal pies and juicy McDonald hamburgers to get that 220?

More likely eating more protein than honey buns..

The protein is semen

For every meal, Brennan needs to match Tyler Shelvin’s plate.
