On Thursday, the New Orleans Saints held a Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon to honor former quarterback Drew Brees.

When it was time for Brees to speak at the event, he got up the podium and said his son Baylen, who he famously held up after the Saints won the Super Bowl, is now a sophomore in High School and wants to go to LSU.

The amount of crying in the comment section…from whom I assume are grown men.

It’s pathetic. Brees did more for the saints organization than anybody ever has. Grown arse men acting like 12 year old girls. Man is a legend

True. That, and his generous philanthropic history in SoLa gave him all the mojo he needed to tell Malcolm Jenkins etal to go to hell. He didn’t. He chose to pussy out. His grandads are ashamed.

Damn, that kid's in high school? How's his arm? I'd love to see a Brees under center for the Tigers one day.

When there are people who serve or are veterans of the military say that they fought for people to have the freedom to kneel for the anthem if they choose to do, why the hell are all these people who havent and wont ever serve bitching about it?

Because they’re big Trump supporting pussies walking around with big guns thinking it makes them look more masculine. Meanwhile, they’re big and fat, and can’t even fight their way out of wet paper bag.

This seems to work out. There is Arch Manning who's two Uncles and Grand dad had careers. Good for LSU.

Good for that kid. He could have easily got sucked away into California (albeit SanDiego) and become a spoiled socialite. But he wants to stay in Louisiana.

I wish he had stood up for his principles instead of caving to the mob. A man should always be willing to fight for what he believes and never allow himself to be bullied. His decision.

I do appreciate the success he had as a Saint on the playing field.

Loved Brees as a quarterback, but when he wore a criminal's name on his headband and kneeled for our national anthem, he lost me as a fan.

Drew, the Knees, Brees did in fact do the above. He'll have to wear those facts as long as he is alive! I wonder how his two military veteran grandfathers would have felt about his actions towards the presentations of the National Anthem, American Flag, and backing a criminal?

Seems like Drew Knees was the one that made it political.
