The latest bowl projection from Jerry Palm of CBS Sports has LSU playing Purdue in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 2nd in Orlando Fla at noon CT.

LSU's loss to Texas A&M in the regular season finale ended the Tigers' playoff hopes and cost them a trip to the Sugar Bowl on Dec. 31 (11 am CT) or the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 (6:30 pm CT).

The only way LSU could get to the Sugar Bowl would be a win over Georgia in the SEC Championship.

Palm is projecting Alabama to face Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl and Tennesee playing Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

Well, I know LSU exceeded preseason expectations, but it sure would have been fun riding into the CFP when CBK inherited 39 skolly players when he showed up on campus.

I wouldn’t mind the citrus bowl, right down the road from my house.

Can we please play someone like Western Michigan in the Sugar Bowl. It's been an amazing season and I'd like to ensure going out on a high note. Watch, we'll get locked up with Ohio State somewhere. Actually, that would be fun.

I still feel like the loser of the SEC Championship game should represent the conference in a NY6 bowl game over a team that didn’t even make it to the championship(regardless of record).

The SEC decided that the SECCG would count in conference standings. The loser is NOT automatically the runner up in the SEC. Take 2020 for example. Florida and Alabama played for conference title but in the official SEC standings Texas A&M shows as the runner up.

The article literally says "The only way LSU could get to the Sugar Bowl would be a win over Georgia in the SEC Championship."

The loss to A&M didn’t cost us a trip to the Sugar Bowl. We can still go as SEC Champs

Someone's insecure. It's okay, STLJ. Your team will probably win so I'm sure you'll still have a reason to go on.

Question: What happens if they were to beat Georgia?
Answer: They would be SEC Champions and represent the SEC in the Sugar Bowl. So, the above statement is not correct, I believe they are assuming a loss to UGA.
