Brian Kelly Shares Honest Expectation For The Offense Coming Out Of The Bye Week

During his post-practice press conference on Thursday night, Brian Kelly was asked several questions about LSU's offense and what changes he expects to see coming off the bye week.
Kelly made it evident that the offense needs to start faster, be more consistent in the run game, and push the ball downfield vertically in the passing game.

"I think I made it pretty clear, we have to be more consistent offensively," Kelly explained. "We have to be more productive from an offensive standpoint."
"It’s been on and off.. This needs to be much more consistent. Will it be on Saturday? I hope so. I expect that we’re going to continue to progress offensively and be much more consistent for four quarters."
"I think we need to start faster. We need a much more explosive start."
"Here is an offense that is complete: You know you’ve gotta have the ability to run the ball when the numbers are fair. You’ve gotta get the ball out on the perimeter when the numbers aren’t fair. And then you also have to push the ball vertically."
"Those are all the components that we need to have within our offense. Sometimes we have it really good on one end, and not on the other. We’ve gotta bring all those components, and one of them is the vertical passing."
