That throw to end the game was bad. He had 5 yards of spade infront of his receiver, and he throws behind.

Sounds like you’re talking about Nuss

Hopefully have the players take the right angles when blitzing

That, as well as players that need to contain, actually containing instead of crashing in and creating openings.

I will say, from what I saw this year, the edge players did a much better job at containing both runners and qbs. Idk if the edge coach gets credit for that or Blake Baker, but either way it was refreshing to see discipline at the edge position

I think Billy Napier will be the best example of your theory. I can just about guarantee that is his story to the “T”.

LSU offensive line is the biggest disappointment of the BK era.

When he was named HC, that was the #1 thing I was excited about. Having a great offensive line.
I didn’t pay much attention to him when he was at Notre Dame but they always seemed to have a good OL and consistently put OL into the NFL.

But at LSU our offensive linemen showed ZERO development under BK and Brad Davis, and consistently under-delivered.
While Cambell and Jones were good linemen, I can’t think of one lineman that actually got better while at LSU under that staff.

The recruiting grades were good, but the production was terrible.
And more aggravating than anything was to watch an OL in the SEC that was just soft as a unit.
Despite having a couple of dogs on that line during BK’s time at LSU, the unit as a whole consistently played weak and soft.

Very bizarre.
Looking forward to Lane Kiffin making sure that changes quickly.
Good riddance BK and Brad Davis.
The biggest problem I see with LSU mbb is STILL the offense.
I can’t remember watching a single game since CMM has been here and seeing an offense with a clear game plan or playing well as a unit.
Very clunky and random/unorganized offense.
Last year was some of the worst half court offense I’ve ever seen in D1 ball, and I’m not seeing a big difference yet this year besides slightly better players.

We will see the importance of recruiting if Indiana and Georgia play in the playoffs.
Coaching is certainly more important than talent, but to win championships it takes both. Georgia will prove that.

Can’t wait until Lane gets rolling at LSU. He will prove this as well.

Buckeye play calling is as bad as ours

The coaching tonight for OSU was terrible. Absolutely terrible.
Made the game way harder on Sayin than it should have been.
Predictable at critical times of the game.
And horrible decision to go for 4th and 1 when they have struggled to drive the field and were in great FG range and could tie the game in the 4th.
Also questionable use of the timeouts in second half. First time out they called did nothing but help Indiana.
Good show of commitment and dedication, as well as priorities being in the right place.
Like what I’ve seen so far.
And did a great job with early signing period.. imagine what he’s gonna do with a full year to recruit at LSU.

Will Joa Sloan learn how to call plays?

I think BK was more of an issue than we know.
I believe Sloan will do better at his next stop than he did under BK.

Every position group on the offense was so bad. I don’t believe that many coaches on a LSU staff could ALL be that bad.
Not saying they’re great coaches, but I do believe they will all do better when they are NOT working for BK.

I think BK brought the entire team down, players and coaches.

I think the only reason the defense was different is because Blake Baker is a strong enough leader to not allow BK to affect his men.
I think Kiffin can close on Lamar Brown.
But if Brown goes elsewhere, he better get out the SEC cause he gonna be Tiger Bait.

LSU gonna be fine.
I can’t wait to see what Lane can do on the recruiting trail with a full year with that LSU on his chest.
I believe he’s gonna be a force in the recruiting world.
Next class is gonna be refreshing.
One thing about Les Miles, before the last few years, that man and his staff were some consistent recruiters.
Imagine what Lane Kiffin can do.
quote:

Finebaum callers said Kiffin is lying

Well that’s a massive amount of ignorance on display because Saban pretty much said, 2 weeks in a row on College Gameday, that Kiffin should take the LSU job
His position group got worse every year that he’s been here.
Imagine how much money some of his players missed out on because of being under developed
Nick Saban didn’t say much in that segment.
But what he did say was all about LSU. It’s obvious where he thinks Kiffin should go.

Poor Kyle Williams.

I would prefer to keep Kyle Williams if Coach O comes back.
Label Coach O an analyst, with most of his energy put into recruiting and pre-game hype lol.
Let Kyle coach the DL
quote:

I still think he’s growing and could be really good

I agree.
Also, lastnight his receivers were dropping everything!
If Texas had all the drops back, that’s a tight game in the 4th. Maybe even Texas in the lead.

you get what you need

So we’re getting Kelvin Sheppard

IMO no way he gets drafted.

If I’m a NFL team I do not draft Nuss.
His on field performance is so bad and he has regressed so much that I wouldn’t even consider it.
But more so than that, the off field visuals and actions I see on a weekly basis would cause me to pass on Nuss.
Quite frankly, he is the opposite of what I would be looking for in terms of the intangibles that are required to play QB and lead an offense at that level.

Its bad but this is th3 worst O Line I have seen in 50 years. I mean just historically bad.

I can’t disagree but let’s use another play then.
3rd and 11
2 min left in first half
Finally call a play for 3 wr to get down field.
Nuss gets ALL DAY in the pocket from a well executed pass pro play by the OL.
What’s Nuss do? Doesn’t give ANY of his wr a chance. Instead throws it into the grass.
On 3rd down. With 2 min left in the half. In a spot we HAVE to score. And we damn sure don’t need to give the ball back to bama for them to run their proficient 2 min offense.

Just terrible qb play.

I think Golesh would ball out as coach at LSU.
He has effective scheme and clearly has passion for his players, which drives him to coach them and lead them effectively.
Good scheme, good execution, and a lot of swagger throughout the team.
Good fit for LSU

Aye man, all we can do is support the decision and give the benefit of the doubt that they made the best decision in the interest of the student body and the student athletes.

I hope that the story he told us in his press conference about his time as a player and his time moving up the ranks through hard work, I hope that is what drives him still today.
I hope every move he makes is for the best interest of LSU and not just for Verge.

It takes a REAL leader to handle positions of leadership without folding and becoming a puppet.

I hope and pray he has the strength and the drive necessary to execute this position through passion for those under his leadership, and not through selfish ambition.
Yep. That’s why he’s fired.
At least they listened and judged him on it. ??
Good riddance.
I wish no harm on the guy, but for the sake of any players that would be under him, I hope he never coaches another down of football.
Because he let each and every one of our tigers down.
Every player on this roster deserved WAY better from their head coach.
They should have been developed much more than they were.
Look at how many players we have at multiple positions that have not developed ANY since their freshman year.
OL, WR, QB, RB, LB, etc. I can point to just about every position group and find an example.
While some would point at the entire staff, I say one bad leader can affect a whole staff.

See ya BK.
