I know it’s going to be a bad day when MBB wins a game
Posted by penman on 1/31/26 at 6:59 pm
The miserable people on this board will wallow in their misery.
It’s just not possible to be a fan and celebrate a win.
We get it—you don’t like McMan. Okay. He’s probably not going to be here next year. Okay.
But those guys wearing “LSU” on their jerseys are our team. And I will always cheer for them.

Would anyone from Miami attend his home games, or would the home team be drowned out by cheering from the visiting fans?
So at this point is there literally a single person expecting discretion from CLK? I really haven’t discerned that trait in his brand.
Just making an assessment based on actual OM comments on this board.
Things worked out the way they were supposed to for OM and LSU

OM got the coach of their dreams, and LSU is not dissatisfied with their new guy.
So the rare win-win situation has been achieved.
Love it when things work out for everyone.

re: Where were you 6 years ago tonight?

My son-in-law hosted me and my son as guests. Cheered my head off and watched the game of my life. I’m 83 and life-long Tiger fan, so this memory will live always in our family’s history.
The OM lovers and Kiffin-haters were loud and proud at the start of hisTiger odyssey…

Notice how quiet they’ve become? When Andre brought up the Leavitt news and LSU recruiting success to Finebaum yesterday, he wanted to change the subject..
That’s how you do it.
That’s how you do it.
ROLLING ON THE LANE TRAIN!!!

And yet you start another thread with Kiffin in your header.
Anyhow, Geaux Hoosiers.

They are the very best announcers in college football broadcasting and have a long record of treating LSU with respect and fairness.

I’m guessing he wants to play north of $5M.
re: Demond should just withdraw
Posted by penman on 1/8/26 at 11:05 am to LSU Patrick
Seattle sports guy said emphatically, Demond Williams will never set foot on the UW field again as a Washington Husky. He is despised, vilified and unwanted by the fans.
It’s 100 miles further to Oxford than Baton Rouge, from Lucedale.
re: Jimbo Fisher on ACC network.

Perhaps we should say irrelevant, but moderately wealthy, loser.
How can it be a secret if everyone already knew?
Send the Cajun Navy..

And liberate Demond!
“It’s called a joke.”
Maybe.
Maybe.
Many thanks to iPad for the excellent work product on the updates.
I found it interesting that in your latest roundup you stated that CCWJ was committed to LSU for the “foreseeable future.”
That seemed to be sending a careful hedging/parsing message connoting a lack of confidence. Am I reading too much into that specific phrase?

They will blame CCWJ.
Book it.

Outstanding work, iPad. Thank you for keeping us up to date.
Does it really just mean more?

Beginning to have doubts.
re: What would it take for you to consider the hiring of Kiffin a bust?
Posted by penman on 12/24/25 at 9:20 pm to homemadeshine
One month into his LSU coaching career I would not be pondering such a silly question.
“He picked his side”
In a competitive NIL market, he took his highest offer. By the way it wasn’t even close.

Not sure a program with the problems of Michigan…

…Needs Dave Portnoy to be a major influencer in their coaching search/hire.
re: Devin Harper

If you’re an LSU fan, how difficult can I be to know how to spell your head coach’s name.
I jest you not.

Well, the first clue might be the game is on the ACC Network, and the announcers are on the ACC payroll.
re: Dellenger-An airport hangar, pools of money and 'the best job in America':How LSU lured LK

Dellenger’s reporting is top flight journalism that tells the story of LSU’s
successful bid to make the biggest head coaching hire in this cycle—indeed in years. Well done. Ross may be the best reporter covering college football.

Who was the 4th team vying for Kiffin’s services?
Posted by penman on 12/1/25 at 5:59 pm
He referenced “four teams” several times.
