Nick Saban Compares Tua Tagovailoa Reminds Him Of These two Legendary NFL QBs
© John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said his QB Tua Tagovailoa has similarities to these NFL QBs...
quote:

“I think he’s a lot like Drew Brees. I always thought Aaron Rodgers was a lot like that as a player too,” Saban said, per Sports Illustrated. “Not overly big, accurate with the ball, really good judgment, decision-making…”
Do you see the similarities?

Where did this narrative that Saban was wrong about Drew Brees come from. Saban wanted Drew Brees,it was the Miami Dolphins team Doctors that recommended that they not sign Drew Brees because of his failed physical coming off of a brutal injury.

We will all see when he gets drafted and by who? Remember there is a big difference from college ball to the pro ball. There more quicker, stronger, and faster players in the pros. And one can't deny the injuries and surgeries he has had in the lasttwo years. He may very well be injury prone!

Kind of funny that Saban considers it a compliment to Tua to compare him to a QB tht he passed on with the Dolphins..

Saban’s ship has sailed. About to find out how hated he really is.

How has it sailed? Cause we didn't make the playoffs for the 1st time in 5 years? Tragic tale of mediocrity.

If Brees and Rodgers couldn’t read a full defense, throw mostly short passes to wide open wide receivers that have a 2 yard gap between defenders, have just a 40% completion percentage on balls thrown in the air at least 20 yards, then I guess he could be compared to them. Otherwise, Saban is smoking the illegal heavy stuff while at Bama.

The man is rarely wrong.

Yeah Saban would be the man to know about being wrong when it comes to anything Drew Brees related.

... and yet Bama fans rejoice that Saban was wrong about Brees.

Ehh, what's Saban supposed to say about the guy? I ain't about to throw stones at a coach that's talking up a warrior of a kid that suffered a life and career altering injury for him. Also, I'd probably miss high.

What part of his game reminds you of Drew Brees???

Uhm, he literally told you: “Not overly big, accurate with the ball, really good judgment, decision-making…”.

What an insult to Drew Brees

Why? Because Saban said Tua reminds him of Brees? It's not like he said he had the same achievements nor was get saying it to cast Brees in a negative way...not sure what you're point you're trying to make by talking trash about Tua?

Reading the title, thought I had been smoking, then I realized it was Larry huffing some paint thinner. And How in the Hell does Tua compare to Rodgers? Did Saban just cut off his legs are what?

Oh hell yeah, he’s got Marino’s arm, Brees‘ accuracy, Manning’s game management and Vick’s scrambling. I mean, he makes all other qbs just a bad memory. C’mon Nick, he will be lucky to play five years

“Nick Saban compares Tua Tagovailoa reminds him of these two legendary NFL QB’s” - Larry and his titles are just trolling at this point.
