Yeah, I'm as surprised as you are that Jim is still around. And yes, he's absolutely an undeniable a-hole.
However!
This is a pretty entertaining rant on the situation.
On the press release starting with "The Daniels Family is deeply disappointed...":

Jim Rome is a name I've not heard in (well over) a minute. Honestly, never cared for the guy. But that part about...this is actually on JD even if people try to deflect by saying "his camp or his mom". I have to agree with Rome on this 100%.
LSU is bigger than any one player including Burrow and all other great players.

Thx u for saying this. Not a lot of people recognize that LSU is bigger than the player.Maybe it’s our age but income from an era where Players gave all thanks and credit to their I overshoot for providing them the opportunity it’s to get where they are today. Diffrent times I guess..
