This game comes down to Leavitt and the O-Line

It’s on Leavitt and O-line.
The O-line has to allow LSU to generate a running game. LSU couldn’t run last year and the rebels could drop 8 and choke the passing game. They ran over 80 plays to our 55 or so plays. Our defense was gassed in the second half. Fortunately Leavitt is not the statue that Nuss was not including Nuss' injury. Still, we can't rely on Sam to be our sole run threat.
Assuming the O-line can help establish a run game, Leavitt has to be decisive in his reads, on time and accurate. It seems like Sam holds the ball a little too long and fails to make a throw when the receiver is open or has advantage coming out of the break, etc. Good QB's fit the ball in tight spaces or trust their receivers.
Before you say, our offensive stats (other than turnovers) are awesome, consider the competition. Clemson is poorly coached and La Tech is a slightly above average G6 team.
Our defense is elite but many of Ole Miss key components to last years offense are still around and they put up big numbers vs Georgia and good numbers on Miami last year. Those were both good defenses.
Revenge, hurt feelings or whatever will have NO effect on this game.

I feel like this is pretty obvious.

I say it comes down to our Defense and our coaching. LSU 31-20.

IMO, the play of the d line is going to be a huge factor in this game. Gotta constantly harass Trinidad to induce errors.

Am I supposed to respect your opinion? There is a reason we couldn't run last year, and it wasn't because Nuss was a statue. He couldn't pass the ball effectively more than 15-20 yards so defense didn't drop deep...because there was no threat of the long ball. This was due to the injury most of you said he didn't have. Secondly, our OL Scheme and play calling was horrendous. The top stud Curne can't even get playing time at OM and they are hurting on the OL. Should tell you all you need to know.

LOL. Like him or not he has won 2 national championships in the last 10 years, and played for another. I mean, he might not be on the same level as Pete, but to say poorly coached is laughable.
Your entire breakdown is garbage basically. You talking about an offense of OM from last year that did so well. Have you watched them this year? There is a huge difference in the playcalling, and setting up future plays. Not a single mention by you of that. Don't be so emotional. LSU is the better team. Barring turnovers and special teams blunders, LSU wins this game, probably comfortably.

And what evidence do you see that we pose a "threat of the long ball?"
We've hit one deep ball and that was on a scramble by Sam and scramble by Tre who made an unbelievable catch. We haven't shown that we have a long ball threat and Sam is not exactly been accurate the few times we've taken a deep shot. Why should Ole Miss respect the long ball. We've been most effective on short and intermediate throws which is exactly what you said plagued us last year.

Without a doubt. We can be encouraged by what we did against Clemson but the O-line didn't move anyone versus Tech even considering the 3-3-5 scheme that Tech employed. IMO, the jury is out on this O-line after two games. Regardless, it still comes down to whether the O-line performs well enough to generate an effective run game so they can't cheat by dropping more defenders.
Lastly, it's obvious that Sam may hold the ball too long at times and takes off and that he has some accuracy issues. In this day and age 62.1% completion is not outstanding.

Really I have zero fricks to give whether you respect my opinion. It's just that an opinion. All I see is Ranters predicting a blow out by the Tigers and some ridiculous scores like we're going to dog walk them and that is highly unlikely.

We have to do better in the red zone !

Offensively? Yes, I agree. However, I think the two biggest keys to this game is our edge rushers vs Ole Miss tackles and our CBs vs their Receivers. If we get into a shootout that favors Ole Miss and Chambliss. We need to keep the game in a defensive game and keep Ole Miss offense on the sideline.

I agree with you. Leavitt has to make good decisions with the ball and the running game has to be successful in order for a Tiger victory. Defense also has to contain Chambliss. He is a game changer.

Run game is vital. That is also obvious to OM. So I expect them to plan to stop the run. OM will want to force SL to beat them throwing the ball. If they are loading the box, expect a big game from TD7.
I'd love to see CLK to break out some play action.

Needs to throw the ball to the guys wearing the same uniform.

There are numerous aspects to the game. Establishing the run is one.
Leavitt not throwing picks
Containing Chambliss
Limiting Kewan Lacy
Red zone efficiency
If we get good production from RBs, this could be a 20 point win, and closer if we don't.

Not sure why I'm replying to your ignorance.
Those days are in Dabo's distant rearview mirror. Even the Clemson website opine that the team is poorly coached. That doesn't even take into account that he's become a dinosaur by ignoring the portal and Clemson is way behind on having an effective GM or coordinated NIL program. His recent results don't lie. Look at any of the film reviews and they point out how unprepared Clemson appeared.
Why yes I have watched them. Their play caller coached under Kiffin at Ole Miss and is totally familiar with the scheme. Chambliss is completing over 70% of his passes. They had almost 500 yards total offense vs Louisville and didn't break a sweat vs Charlotte. They look pretty much the same.
LSU is overall the more talented team on defense but Ole Miss is more talented on offense. If the draft were held today, Chambliss and Lacy would go much higher than Leavitt or any of our backs. Alexander is lightning fast at receiver and is considered a high draft prospect.
The idea that we "probably" win comfortably can only be expressed through purple and gold glasses.

Kiffin needs to get Leavitt to settle down and let the game come to him. He has enough talent around him he doesn't need to win this on his own. Don't take unnecessary risks with throws. Ole Miss has had coverage breakdowns in both games. If he's patient, there will be big plays to be had. If he presses, he's going to make mistakes that hurt the team.

Ole Miss licking their chops at how low Leavitt throws the ball.

Maybe. I think it comes down to how inefficient we make Trinidad. The defense will be the difference maker. Cannot give chunk numbers to him. The offense will not get totally shut down. Shut down their passing game and make them one dimensional.

Yep, Clemson's issues are not Xs and Os; it's Jimmys and Joes. It's what happens when you stake out the moral high ground in a relatively amoral, if not immoral, endeavor.
