I was on the tarmac yesterday when Coach Wade got off the plane…It was an amazing and emotional scene. It was like watching a family member that has been missing for four years finally come back home. No shaking hands yesterday because big long bear hugs felt natural and watching this caused a lump in my throat. Coach Wade is not just admired, he is loved…Welcome home Coach Wade!

re: How bad was Scott Woodward?

Posted by Mitreman on 3/25/26 at 11:38 pm to
I have heard that Scott is a nice guy but the way Will Wade was let go is disqualifying in my opinion. He let a great Coach get railroaded and didn’t fight to keep him. It was unforgivable! Go Tigers! Will Wade, Jay Johnson, Kim Mulkey and Lane Kiffin will be the best coaches in college sports…
I don’t have any idea if Coach Wade is coming back to LSU but I hope he is because he is a winner and is one of the very best coaches in men’s college basketball…Go Tigers!

re: Is this McMahon’s Waterloo?

Posted by Mitreman on 1/14/26 at 6:29 pm to
Coach McMahon’s a nice guy who has had some bad luck with injuries and has probably made some bad coaching decisions too…I think this is his last season. I for one would love to get Coach Wade back but that is probably not in the cards…I can hope !!!

re: Sam Leavitt...We got him!!

Posted by Mitreman on 1/12/26 at 10:17 am to
I just heard about Leavitt…I think this and a few good O linemen to protect him will make us a real contender next season. This is a wow moment!
We need Sorsby bad. I hope Coach Kiffin has an inside line on him..!!!
Because when he saw the 50 million dollar buyout clause he thought “hey, I’m retired!” If your retired your not worried about your OL or anything else…
I agree. The only safe assumption about Frank Wilson is that he loves LSU. Be sure you have all your ducks in a row before you say something negative about Coach Wilson…This is a solid guy.

re: Why do I want Kiffin?

Posted by Mitreman on 11/24/25 at 1:13 am to
I think Kiffin would do very well at LSU but I’m not going to get my hopes up until he gets off a jet at the Baton Rouge airport…
I don’t predict LSU losses but after watching the W. Kentucky game only God knows what might happen against Oklahoma…
Maybe he didn’t want the current players to see how winners think and act…Wow, must be some significant insecurity involved here!
Jimbo Fisher, Matt McMahon and Brian Kelly…Three horrific hires! This isn’t that hard to figure out!
Lou Holtz, Spurrier and Saban are all former great Coaches but they are all older than Brian Kelly and he was almost too old…I think we need somebody who is a bit younger because head coach at LSU requires a lot of energy and passion…

re: Nuss or MVB

Posted by Mitreman on 10/27/25 at 10:57 am to
I like Nuss. He’s a really good kid but I would be giving MVB the most reps with the first team and plan on giving him the start against Bama…
Of course Saban has an unbeatable resume but personally I would like to hire a young, energetic Coach that’s full of fire and passion. Football is a sport that to be played well must be played with emotion. I don’t want a Coach that’s even close to Brian Kelly’s age, much less someone who’s older…
Hopefully, we can hire a Coach who will “spoil” us with wins again…
I think the problem is that when Brian Kelly was hired at LSU it was so much guaranteed money that Kelly looked at it as his retirement and he has been retired ever since the day he was hired…I think LSU and other schools need to rethink these absurd contracts and put the emphasis on pay for performance. We need to have contracts that will make coaches wealthy if they win big but not for just showing up and doing press conferences where they say “We need to clean things up…”

re: BK’s Press Conference

I completely agree with this opinion…We would be better off with Curley Hallman!!
All I can say about dumping Kelly is…Todd Graves please help us! If you help with his buyout we will have one love and it will be you!
I wonder if Nuss should go back to wearing #13 before the S. Carolina game? Just a crazy thought because since he started wearing #18 he just doesn’t look nearly as good or as confident as he used to…I’m not big on superstition but I don’t think it would do any harm! I’m also not trying to put our offensive problems on just Nussmeier either because it is a team game and Nuss needs everybody to do better on offense and that includes the Coaches…
