Seems you mostly miss the point. If you’re a member of the team or staff “we” is appropriate. If you are not then “LSU” is appropriate. It’s not rocket science guys and girls.

in this NIL era, my $125/year donation to TAF may not buy much, but it certainly allows me to use "we" since I am financially contributing to my alma mater's teams.

nope. my hero will wade tells me we are all part of the team. from managers to admin to fans. we are all in. we work together.
your argument is decent for a pro team I have nothing to do with them. but I went to school at LSU for many years, as did my family. I grew up at Alex box and the PMAC, its my school and my community. we are awesome.
