Sad to see those 4 guys go. All really good baseball players and really good tigers for the program.

Milam and a Curiel should come back. They would be more famous and still get paid

Gonna get killed for this and I’ll absolutely pull for him to prove me wrong but I don’t see the Derek Curiel 1st round hype, reminds me of a less powerful Cam Cannarella that went pick 43 last year. Not that he can’t be successful but that his skill set isn’t 1st round value type stuff. Jake Brown looks to have way more of a mlb first round, elite level skill set.

Curiel’s biggest weakness is his arm

Avg. arm and limited power at the plate. Brown is the better pro prospect.

He’s not, and that’s okay.

Hope these 4 come back, but we could use 4 more Skenes type pitchers.

Oh just 4 more best pitchers in the MLB? Is that so much to ask?

Would love to see several of these Tigers make MLB. Curiel is a young Tony Gwynn based on his super swing. Milam compares to Jose Altuve as a player. Brown will get a good shot as well. Stanfield is a good college player who used his talent well. Who has the best chance at MLB?

Yes smartass, he graduated

Stanfield, a native of Tallahassee, Fla., and a member of the 2025 SEC Academic Honor Roll, has earned his LSU degree in interdisciplinary studies. He was the 2025 winner of the Tony Gwynn Community Service Trophy, which was created to honor collegiate baseball student-athletes who are active in their community and represent their programs with integrity, while exceling in the classroom and on the field.

Underclassmen typically use that last year or two as leverage for a better contract, in that they CAN walk away and play college again. It’s about leverage in the draft not necessarily success statistically.

However, with Curiel, Milam, & Brown, might be better off walking away after this season. Here’s hoping they get offered crappy deals.

Typically MLB teams don’t really care too much about team wins and losses. But it does matter some.

I love Brown but he’s not a better pro prospect. He’s a better power hitter and projects better in that regard. But Curiel is a better defensive player that can play any of the 3 positions in the outfield at an elite level. There is still room in his body to build muscle to develop the power but he’s also a better pure hitter than Brown.

Again I love Jake Brown and I think he will be very successful at the next level with the right club but Curiel is better at 3/5 skillsets.

He's not less powerful than Cannarella, who only hit 23 dingers over 3 years. I would bet Curiel has a better future power grade than Cannarella due to age + frame.

I agree that Curiel is more of a back half of the first round guy on pure prospect rating, but I think an org will "overdraft" him because they feel like he's safe. 3 above average tools with good makeup has a lot of value to some organizations. Especially if they feel they can sign him to a deal and spend up in rounds 2-5 on higher upside guys.

I don't agree with this. You can tell a story on how Brown becomes an avg big league left fielder but I have concerns on his swing translating

He was never 100% healthy after he got hurt opening weekend.
