S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix, Medium Hot, 3.2 Oz
Ive always, seen this in the store. Finally tried it after watching some Reels.
Its just like making stew. They recommend adding an apple to it.
Its good. Not a strong curry but more savory. They say it is Japanese Curry.
I enjoyed it.
Any other OTers use this? Enjoy? Hate?
I would recommend.

Japanese "curry rice".
Love it.
Had some japanese friends in college. This is their answer to spaghetti.

I usually switch between this and Vermont Curry. I love Japanese curry. Mild and comforting. I love it with a fried pork steak, Katsu, and white rice.

My wife and I use this when the weather gets cooler. Chicken or pork and potatoes, mushrooms, and carrots over rice. We use a lot more ingredients by volume than you'd find in a normal Japanese home or school cafeteria, though.

I had 2 bowls of it after Lunch today. I dont think its making it to the Freezer.
It is just too good.
It hits. Gives me a food high I havent had in a while.
Right in the Feels.

We use it quite often. Always have a box at the house.

I have made it a couple times as a cheapish quickish meal. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s pretty good.

Japanese mom made it all the time when I was growing up. The flavor of my youth and a favorite dish of mine. Half medium hot and half hot for the perfect heat level. I tend to make it with a little more water than what they suggest. I like it with the viscosity somewhere between heavy whipping cream and half and half.

I thinned the sauce out a little bit too. I found it was great.

Have you ever used broth instead of water?

I usually cube the chicken and brown it in the pan add veggies and brown those the then deglaze with the water. Then add the potatoes and cook until the potatoes are almost done then add the curry cubes. Plenty of flavor without chicken stock so I've never considered it.
