Microwave replacement recommendations

Our microwave shite the bed and started arcing and nearly caught fire. Unplugged it and counted our blessings lol. Need to replace it.
Issue is its inset above our oven.
What’s best way to replace these with the given space? Do I need to hire someone?

Huh, following because I have a similar GE Profile microwave and have always been curious when this circa 2004 thing goes out what I’d have to do.
ETA: I can see the plug in the cabinets above it at my house so I assume it would be just finding a very similar looking one that fits the trim kit or buying new one with new trim kit and replacing it all. Seems fairly easy either way as long as they still sell them like this.

Had to replace mine about a year ago. You can do it yourself. Unscrew the stainless trim around the microwave - screws should be underneath and maybe on top too. Once you remove the trim, the microwave should be screwed into brackets inside the hole. Unscrew, remove, buy a new microwave in a size that will fit in there, screw it into brackets, screw in trim plate and voila, you're done.

It *can* be that easy if the initial installers did the work right. Just had a same make/model microwave replaced, and the mounting bracket was entirely different than the original, and required new shims to mount.

DIY you just have to shop around for one with similar measurements

Do you have another place for a microwave? A microwave with air fryer built in is great, but I don't believe you can do it in an enclosed space like that.
