Billy Corgan has spoken about this quite a bit. Not the USAid component, but the intentional promotion of the hip hop garbage and the demotion of better selling, more popular rock.

He was confused by it at its inception, as it was almost overnight.
We better understand the plot at this point.

It was obviously a psyop designed to integrate "culcha" into white America, and it worked.
Now we have young white kids running around speaking ebonics, reeking of weed, and throwing gang signs that they have no idea what it means.
No talent individuals like Jay Z are multi-millionaires, and admitted drug dealers and prostitutes are mega-stars and people actually baae their own opinions on what these idiots say.....

Lizzo isn’t a rapper and there are several rap songs in the top 40. This is retarded

Someone killed rock music.

There were still tons of popular bands and then MTV and the radio stopped playing them and the record studios stopped promoting them.

Also think about the attacks that the popular rock bands of that post grunge era got. All the sudden bands like Creed and Nickleback went from headlining tours and having top selling CDs to being national punchlines.

Who pushed that narrative? Whether you liked them or not somehow the message that got amplified was rock wasn’t cool and rap was everywhere before bro country and Taylor Swift took Nashville into mainstream pop.

You might be retarded.

Lizzo is a rapper. She may not rap on every song but she is definitely a rapper and many of her songs are raps.

And regarding the charts, a few months ago there were no rap songs in the top 40 for the first time in 35 years.

Obviously new charts come out every week and there are now a few rap songs in the top 40. But the point stands. Rap has gone from dominating the charts, to just having a handful of songs ranked

she’s a singer who occasionally raps and hasn’t been relevant in many years

From her Wiki:
quote:

Melissa Viviane Jefferson (born April 27, 1988),[1] known professionally as Lizzo (/'l?zo?/), is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and actress.

I'm an old white guy and I got no problem with rap. But, it should never be publicly funded. Same goes for the rest of music genres.

I have a problem with it. It became a cultural norm.
Degeneracy in all forms glorified, celebrated and adopted in language and behavior.

Hip hop/rap has been net negative for the country in ways other genres haven’t impacted.

There was a post on here a couple of months ago about a record exec who was taken to a shady meeting where they were told to promote gangster rap.

Was Charlie Daniels a rapper? He rapped all the time. His greatest hit is a rap. Yet hes not considered a rapper. Wonder why. Could it be hes not a rapper? Or is it purely due to his pigment and subject matter? Just trying to figure out what makes one a rapper. It seems rhyming words through conversation over a beat doesn't suffice.

I’d say it’s primarily self declared. You say you are- you are.

You can sing too and call yourself a singer. You can dance and call yourself a dancer. You can entertain and call yourself an entertainer.

All would be true.

Whether you’re good or not is a matter of opinion, but you call yourself any and all of the above.

And from the Diddy files, we also know they were just talentless and gay.

Real gay.

And most of this board tolerates this trash being played around their families.

It's not all degenerate. It is an art form and can be used negatively (I'll admit a lot of it has been) or positively.

Life sometimes contains the bad parts -- surprise, surprise.
